"Good things come to those who wait..."

I had to wait at least a couple of months before being accepted due to a variety of reasons, including my application getting silently trashed presumably due to a bug in the old form and then the league reorganisation (Div 1 & 2 -> Euro & N.-A. Div) last winter.

I hope it goes faster for you...

Hey

Dr Mizuno. You will have acces to the private forum as soon as I hear from CartRulz that you are accepted to join. Perhaps he took a few days off (since this is our summer break and all). He will get back to you when he returns. In the mean time keep practicing, I bet Carrera or Bilbo or osmeone is having rooms open all the time. Seems like you are serious so as long as you have a fairly good connection I dont see any problems. But that is not up to me, CartRulz is the one that handles applications "over there". Carrera and his team of maniacs (the N.A. drivers) probably knows if there are any seats left.

We are only 10 days (or 9?? ...hmm) away from the re-start of the season so get ready people. I know I have some practice to do.....

Have a nice day all / Killahead

hey mizuno,
I haven't heard from cart either yet.He is probably enjoying the time off from school and will get back to you as soon as he can.Check to see which cars are available in the members section.I am not sure which cars are available, but there were a few left when I checked. The bar cars are taken for sure by myself and koma.Erick the speed demon is in the ferrari so watch your mirros when he comes up behind you.He will come up on you very fast but will not take you out as he drives very respectable.Lag is only a problem for Erick when I host..Otherwise there will be no lag when cart hosts.good luck m8.Cart will be back soon.

Hi Dr. Mizuno,

Sorry about the delay. I just got back from Niagara Falls with my family. We stayed there for 3 nights. Man, it was really nice to get away for a while, and the falls are really incredible. We did all the attractions there, including Maid of the Mist and Behind the Falls. The Maid of the Mist is a boatride that takes you right to the base of the falls, and it feels like your in a hurricane, its really awsome.

Concerning your membership, its great that more people want to join NAR, and I see Flow wants to join too. However, I'm not too sure if we can handle another driver here on the NA side. From what I remember, the last race was pretty good, and I'd hate to ruin that. But, I think its worth a try. I'd like to test with you sometime soon, and with Flow too. I just want to make sure you have a good connection. The last thing we want here is lag.

So E-mail me a time that is good for you, and we dcan get together and test connection speeds.

See you soon,

Mizu, if you're with Videotron (cable), you're gonna have a very good connection to Cart (ping ~50 usually) and so-so to Carrera (~150-200).

Flow is on Videotron, same as me.

For Hungary, I'm still "young" at 178 laps for a PB of 1:18.7, HR0. I just HATE this track.

yep videotron rocks, they keep giving us better internet all the time
3 months ago i only had 320kbit up not its 2x times that

i have really only done 200 laps this year there, i went right back out of the 20s for that

i looked at the telemetry and where i am losing all my time is cause by bottom is dragging all over the place

i lost .4 seconds to erick from the start finish line to when i hit the brake.

i must also gain a bit of time, but this is rediculous

Yo Mizuno,
your throttle upstream override will only work if you are the host.
It will not affect your game if you are a client in a race hosted by someone else. That is defined by the host and he can also change the data rate as well to 14 or if he hosts on LAN on the internet(yes you can do that) ...the host can use the data rate of a max of 32...yes 32...only good if you have a few people not a whole bunch of people.Nice times you are gettin though m8.My connection speed is even faster now as i have moved downtown closer to the main hub.so I should not effect you guys in the east anymore..Not even Erick i think
