The rise of Find the Limit

Post by dutch power »

Yeah boys. FTL is back in busines.

http://www.findthelimit.com

Check out the forums  there you can find a demo. They still improving stuff etc. But they already released a demo version for the moment. And i have to say its looking much better then it was in F12k2.

THEY MADE one FOR F!C !!!!

Cant wait till they release the finished version.

oh oh......here we go again, hahah.
I remember last year, the first part of the NAR season people went crazy.....Alx, Tackman, LG, mark, Samy, TK, MW1, DP and the boys turned into (or got even more) maniacs.

I especially remember the practice weeks before Monaco. Alx came up with an idea, he knocled off the front wing in the last corner to get better speed on the start/finish straight. People were freaking out.....haha....it was an "interesting" part of the season....

I repeat:
Here we go again.....

Its still in development so no worry killa, there is a demo of it for F1C but thats not much,... so we are still waiting for the finished version.

Just lettin the people know that they are back with an F1C version  .

I've heard about it yesterday night. I may end up doing my "summer training" in the 2002 season...

At my level of (in-)competency, the reference times are still a target at most tracks, so the way the "scores" are calculated would enable to quantify my improvements (I'm still learning something at every race). It's one thing to know you're better now that you were before, it's even better when you have "proof" of it! 8)

I don't know,
some of those times are unreal m8's...think i'd rank 500dth or so..LOL...
still good to see some nar guys on top...I don't have f1 2002 anymore so I'm out of that era...as for knocking off the front wing to get extra speed.I would take that as a cheat i think...can't do that in real life without getting chastized from sir frank williams or eddie jordan..hehehe...now if there was one for f1c i would give it a shot even if i ranked 200dth...would still be nice to see another NAR name up there...

I agree with the no wing = cheat. IMO, any contact should make a lap rejected. It's not because it's a hotlap that you have any right to scratch the paint!

hehe.....yes ofcourse its a cheat to knock off the front wing.....the fun thing was that it was needed for me as the dictator of this group of out-of-control-speed-freaks to get it clear to everyone......there was a small problem with riding the wall there for a while too but we sorted it out....anyway, it was just a reflection I had when I saw findthelimit again.......brings back memories u know.....I think its fun with FTL too.....it will boost our league cause NAR was always in the top of FTL, perhaps not THE fastest but we often had 2-3 guys in the top 10 at every track.....not me though..... . so when/if you register, make sure to get the NAR name or website adress in there somehow if you wanna do some PR for the league....

pitty that i cant set mine profile yet

But doh ofcourse i do some little PR for nar,... did the same in F12k2 muhahaha im stil top 15 hehe after almost a year ago when i stopped submitting laps cause we switched to F1C,.. so thats not bad i think

But i think the level is much higher now,.. think it will be difficult to end up in F1C top 15 again and stay there.

WHere is mark??? im sure he is a good person for a top 1 ranking

I would like a big hand of applause for [NAR]Erick who, at the time of writing this, is the first #1 hotlapper in the PRO category at FTL! Way to go! 8)

Congrats also to the others who have posted nice times too (DP, Killa, others?).

As for myself, when I start posting times at more tracks, I'll be the public "proof" that there are humans (and hobbits!) in NAR, not just aliens!

hehe, you guys are funny. Yeah, I am still not happy at alot of those tracks. Interlagos, A-1, Monaco, and Magny-Cours are pretty much to my pb/limit. but, I am especially dissappointed with my Catalunya time, Indianapolis time, and Suzuka time. unfortuneately I gotta take a break for awhile, so I won't be able to represent NAR for awhile. it was alot of fun do FTL, and I think it is helping me....competition always does. My goal would be to beat Sennanha's time at every track, but hmmm, some of those tracks seem impossible :?

Wuuhuuu, I finally broke the 50 seconds barrier at FTL!!!

Now, all you with nice, bright green negative scores call laugh all you want but this is a major milestone for me!

And the best thing is that it feels like I can still improve at most tracks (some of them I had almost never raced on before). 8)

When you get to the telemetry screen (it might take a few tries due to a problem with resolution change) and load the SPT file, you just put your cursor on the lap you want to send and a small popup window wil appear. You click the top left button (it has a small "i" on it, if I remember correctly) and it will pop a dialog box which will say if your lap is valid or not. That dialog has 2 buttons at the bottom (if your lap is valid), one of which is the submit button...
