The server that hosts this forum (and a bunch of other stuff too) suffered a fatal disc crash about a week ago. Most everything was backed up, so I don't think anything was lost. However, it has taken quite some time to get the machine up and running again, partly because I've been busy at school, partly because new hardware had to be purchased, partly because the machine was reinstalled from scratch, partly because the new hardware didn't work properly, and finally partly because I was lazy.
Because the new hardware doesn't work properly (or more accurately, the drivers are no f*cking good), if the machine goes down it will no longer be able to rebooted properly without me being at the console. And since I live on the other side of town that means downtime (when it happens) will be longer than before.
Yes ,its nice to hear from you Dan...I figured schoolwork(like cartrulz)would take your nar time away...but we all appreciate you getting the forum back up again...and this is why you are called"Dan the man"...
