just got disconected from the race server, dont know what the deal is, but it doesnt matter anyways. i dont mean this as an attack to any one person, but the new physics are shit, imho. i think the lack of downforce in the draft is completely unrealistic, i could not keep the car on the track following slower traffic, let alone even THINK about passing. i personally feel all my cut tracks should be removed, it was the physics fault, not mine. i find it very odd that the relative performance gaps between drivers has stayed pretty much the same, except for me. i think my driving style is maybe different from everyone elses here, and these new physics have affected me in a negative way that, well quite frankly, i dont think the rest of you would understand or probably agree too. but all we have to do is look at my results/speed compared to the people i have been racing with for 3 years now to see something is really wrong. i tested a mclaren and went faster, but that was probably just me. i cannot stay with the new physics, THIS IS NO LONGER FUN. NAR has for some time now said that they want better on track racing, more dicing, just like real f1, but then we introduce physics mid-season that make it almost impossible to follow someone. uhhhhh, sounds like a bernie decision to me. i loved racing here, but for sometime i think our decesion making has been suspect. it was fun guys, the last 3 years were fun, but its time to move on.

Humm, brad, what a bad news. i knew you didnt like the change, but i didnt tought it was that bad. This is a final decision? All i can say is that yes, the grip is weird when folowing another driver, i was harly able to stay behind you when you were drafting hitman. At first, i was frustrated that i couldnt get more close, then after, i notice that it was giving Hitman like a second life, being able to leave us behind him and aaron gettin away, i tought that it was getting other drivers a chance to fight in front with us. Notice how alonzo was not able to pass a renault on this same track? I must say that France is not the best track to test ours real skills. Theyrs only 1 place to pass anyway, at end of straitht, and its not easy. At least, we were all on same level. What about doing fast time on McLaren comment? isnt supose to have all same performance? or is some car shape making a difference?

I think you should give you a second change. Why not race Sylverstone and see after if your are still so mutch disapointed? did you tried other setup? I use quite same setup as what i was use to, with few minot tweek, but i didnt realy set different thant usual, i usualy set my car by the feeling more than the value.

Notice that the lost of connection was not your problem. Was having weird temerature here in Montreal, and its an holiday, and here in quebec, the July 1st is the moving day, so alot of connection on and off, net crowdy, and it was windy also. Many things may cause it, even our website was down for few minutes tonight.

Hope to cya at silverstone, and then you may be able to make the right decision. But if you want sex to come back? Dont count on me, you better leave then  seriously, consider my proposition. (not the one about sex  )

After one night of sleep  i think i like more the way we have hard time to pass a driver under that mess of turbulence. In past, you would of been able to get rid of Hitman within few corner. Last night, you were putting so mutch pressure on Hitman, and he was able to resist for almost 10 laps when i pass you both, and i think that you were still stuck behind after that.

I think that this is the way it will help slower driver to keep a faster driver behind him, and his REAL driving skills will make him stay in front or open the door. Im shure that once you would get rid of Hitman, you would of fly up to aaron ass. When when the last time a driver putted you a real chalenge like last night? and when was the time that Hitman had so mutch fun and stess with you like that? Usualy we get in drivers ass and they cant resist, and last night, resistance was awsome.

Notice how in Euro the final result was so close :
1 Drago 1:28:49.598 / (L25, L48)
2 kaffemaskin 1:28:50.658; +1.060 / 3 (L2, L27, L53)
3 Killahead 1:29:03.441; +13.843 / 2 (L25, L47)
4 RoadRunneR 1:29:05.205; +15.607 / 2 (L25, L48)

And our result (non official, seem to have some fuck with result) :
aaron and me were ass in ass, and Hitman and you were ass in ass i think. Im shure that our final would of been as close as euro final.

yeah well for the record drago waited for me so he should have been 20 secs in front rougly :)

but still, yeah - i like having to fight to pass. had a rough time passing the field and it was not at all like canada where you just steamed past.

thanks for the comments, im happy you guys like having me here. i was pretty upset when i made the first post, ive calmed down, however my mind has not changed. i have no problem whatsoever with having the gaps closer, but thats not whats happend to me. 1st: ive proven at several races this year that i can be about 30 secs ahead by 20-30 laps into the race. 25 laps into france, i was 45 seconds down on the leader. thats a HUGE difference. basically, i was an entire LAP down on myself, a lap down on what i could have done. no one else would complain about that?2nd: i dont have a problem with it being harder to pass, but again the issue was/is that i was faster than hitman, yet i could not stay closer than 2 car lengths except on the straights. watch the real f1 indy race. alonso was not faster than hamilton, yet he could be right on his ass through the medium fast corners. if i got that close, i was flying off the track. its not realistic. i dont see that in real life. i dont see people having to give 3+ car lengths to the car infront just to stay on track. i did.
flow: there was no way i was going to catch you or aaron, after the first pit stops i was ahead of hitman(only because he had a slow out-lap) the gap to you was 13seconds. i had clear track and no spins, by disconnect time, i was 28 seconds down. i dont want to dominate, i want the battles to be closer just like everyone else, but at what cost? this wasnt even close! i dont want to just run up ahead of everyone, (at usa race, i spun 1st lap on purpose in safe area to avoid the big gap and make it fun) but france and the testing before it was not fun at all, just frustrating, making it very un fun. i dont have to win to have fun, but when im consentrating so hard(mentally having to be in qualify mode every lap) and thats just to stay on track in fourth, its not fun, especially when you know you should be doing better. this was the first time in 3 years i had a shot at the championship, and that is now gone. again im sorry everyone, but i cannot, will not race with these physics. i will continue to make CAM files for the tracks, but im done racing. i would like to ask this, these physics are a modifed version of the bmw/isi physics, correct? if so, can i be given the unmodified physics file from bmw/isi to try that?
last thing: i was a tad faster in the mclaren, however im by no means saying the cars are different, they are the same, i think it was just me. so to be clear, im not saying i think there is a difference in the cars, the mclaren just has a better paint scheme(which of coarse accounts for half a second  )

AFAIK, the physics are the same as ISI's (i.e. unmodified), only the tyre choice has been "unlocked" between Q and race.

If it makes you feel better, I think I was relatively slower too (and I'm on a McLaren!), but I blame this on my driving and my setup. There were a couple of places where I knew I should be faster (like the last chicane) but, despite practicing more than usual, I could never manage. I hope to do better next race but I still like the mod.

I understand you Brad, but i still think you should give you a try on sylverstone. France was the worst place to use this new physic update.

I also notice in france that the car was pushing alot in corner, and i start to make faster time when i was having less compression and keeping my car on higher gear in corner to keep lower rev, and it was better for my chronos. I know that i have alot to learn back again.

The grip lost in draft when too close that make you go in grass, i agree is too accentuated. I dont know how this valu can be reduce, im shure its not that easy to change.

I really do not know

Post by Ruben Miranda »

Hello

Brad I have not said anything until now because I am a loss at what to actually say in hopes of changing your mind. And not to say the wrong thing where you just say now I am really gone.

Know that I/We do not want you to leave although it sounds like your decision has been made. And you will be missed greatly if you do stick to your decision.

Again I am at a loss these physics (Although I to am slower but that has been my problem all season) Where tested by you and everyone and then they where voted on and cleared to be used so I don't get why after the first bad race you have made this decision.

Also you should know that somewhere here Limpy stated that he spoke with ISI about this issue and they agreed it was not right and is in the works to be fixed in the next patch. Now I can not say that it will happen tomorrow or anytime soon but maybe you can find the challenge something to keep you here until then.

I really do hope you do not give up we still have a full half a season so your championship is not lost yet.

Hitman 8)
I might not be fast, But I am ahead of you.

Just stay and have fun with it. :)

I/WE understand the frustration Brad cause we are all having the same experience.

So you loose a few so what.Championships have been won before without winning every race.
