I had a good race until I screwed up.

Made a bad start from 3rd position. After that I had a good battle with Navigator and Kaffemaskin for a few laps. Many changes in positions between us.

After 7-8 laps I was ahead of Kaffe and we found a good pace and I caught up with Limpy. We battled for 2-3 laps until I got passed him, I left some roo on the inside of a left hande but came too high on the curb and spun into he wall losing my front wing.....and my engine died for some strange reason? damnit........

well well.......

Well, it was fun to do my first race here with you guys!

I did not do a good job on my qualy and finished 9th.....
In race I got 6th after first corner and later on I got 4th due to an accident in front of me.

Pretty soon I lost my front wing due to a very stupid mistake......drove into the pit, pushed the wrong button and got a drive trough for speeding..........before I coult do that, I drove off my front wing AGAIN at the EXACT same corner!!

So I drove around but everyone lapped me atleast once.........
Got lucky my engine stayed in shape pretty long and even more lucky that that delivered me the 4th spot. In lap 40 my engine also gave up........

But really guys; it nice racing with you! I had real fun!

what to say.... started pretty shaky, had loads of fun with killa just crusing around (good times teamm8, we should have had a radio though for team orders), decided to let him go a few seconds and parked there. suffered a takeout when i was about to take 3rd, guess that happens sometimes.

most of the anger is gone now anyway....especially annoying since i heard DP had a date with a wall and lost phase though=)

I personaly use rad 4 as minimum setting, use boost at 6 and never over rev, and engine brake map at 0. Dont know if it as something to do with, but that is the basic of my setup that ran 2 time a 100% race with no blow. Will see on our NA race for tongiht

It was great fun. I was consistently mediocre. Did a stupid mistake trying to get faster and while my pit crew was doing the repairs the engine warmed up and blew on the first corner after the pitlane exit. Thanks guys. Cheers!

Yeah first race done im pretty happy by finishing 2nd though i am a bit lucky here. First the rocket start i made i had some luck, at the start i was thinking of going on the left side of the ones in front of me (starting on the left side of track) but then at the start i decided to go on the right side trough the middle. That was a good decision as someone spun on the start at the left side i for sure would have hit him. So at the start i moved up from 7th (after crappy qualy) to 3th place. Had some nice battle with Limpy good overtaking. After that it was a bit a boring race for me being faster then limp and much slower then drago so i was driving for most of the race alone. I was also lucky to not loose a wing , i lost the car in the last corner and hit the wall sideways after that the car was pretty slow being of the pace for about 1.5 to 2 secs per lap so there wasnt much i could do to keep up with drago today. Seems he prepared better then me  Anyway was a nice race.

Next Malaysia, lets see what that brings.
Regards,
Mark Aalberts

I set the car like that for race : 19300 max rpm boost on 7 rad on 3. Those cars doesn't like at all high rpm during race.
I did all first stint pushing as i saw an accident at my back at the beginning of the race and no one was close to me, so i tried to put as mutch distance as possible between me and the second (who was Limp if i am not wrong).
It could have been a nice battle with at least 2 of you but this time luck kissed me.
Cu on next track :)

woa....seems like a few of us need to practice full stints a little more to make sure the engine will make it, eheh.

Im still frustrated over my bonehead move....damnit....had a podium in sight, was gonna chase down DP.....well....it'll have to wait until next GP
