I am sorry I did not see your request for a change and did not notice you where driving the Aquri if you are is this still what you want.

That way I can ask Bilbo to change the driver seating on the web page.

The change has been done a long time ago!

I figured there was no special permission required as we have room to spare in NA...

Howdy

Hey all. I'm looking to get in on this action! :)

I see two seats open for the Hondas (must be the awful livery or the terrible performance!) - any chance I could drive one in Spain? (I'm in North America, BTW.) If not, the vacant seat at BMW?

Also, what's the official track that's going to be used? I know there are variations on Spain (thanks to Bernie), so I want to make sure I've got everything ready in case I'm accepted.

Anyway, if anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi Spanky, you can check the seats available here, and up in the thread.

http://noaidsracing.com/index.php?optio ... Itemid=125

I think that you should contact Hitman or Steve, they are the NA division admin. Send to one of them a PM, unless you already spoke with one. Let them know your experience with no aids driving.

Also, just in any case you will be able to join us, please, take the time to read all the 'rules', especialy the PHILOSOPHY of the NAR league. We also use Relay anticheat (seem down last night, but if not back, it will be soon)

Hello and Welcome Spanky
Yes the seats you mentioned are avaliable.
As Flow has mentioned please take some time and check out our rules.

Have you raced with no aids ?
Have you been online with any of our current members ?

As you can see we at NAR are very diverse so we do not put a whole lot of reference on speed but we do want respectful and safe drivers.
We are more about fun and great races.

We will have to test you online.
The tracks we used are private with permission to convert but not make them open to the public so we would have to test you on ISI barcelona and if you do jion us we will get you the track we use.

Our next race is only a few days away so please respond quickly and we can get you tested.
Also you will need to download and install relay the link is on the NAR web page.

Well our converter just informe us that our Spain track can be share with the public, it is not the same author than our other track.

You can get our Spain track under 'track downlaod' on the website on home page: http://noaidsracing.com/index.php?optio ... Itemid=164

Hope to cya on track in practice server. You can join our server trough rfactor lobby or if you have installed 'relay anticheat' you can have access to server from there. For the sunday night race race, server are visible only from Relay, you wont see our server from rf lobby.

Great!

I'll read the rules (what I've read so far looks great).

I've done a lot of practice laps and a few races with the built-in BMW-Sauber F1 car, with no aids - I made a point of turning 'em all off (except the clutch), so I hope that'll help. I'm pretty new to rF so I don't know if I've raced online with any current members. I really want to find a home - this business of finding a random open room with a grid of 44 drivers where 30 DNF in a 10 lap race (half in the first turn!) is just ridiculous. :)

I'll get the stuff installed - when can I be tested? Some time on Thursday night work? Sounds great.

Usualy, we go out of T1 great, with alot of respect, you learn to not be afraid to loose 1-2 position, instead of causing a crash of 2-3 cars.

Even in NAR, some contact occur, and its hard to avoid. But what is fun, is the the replay are review by admin, and if any driver didnt behave correctly, he will be warn or will receive a penality. BUT, we take good note of it, and we try to avoid it next time, none is perfect, and race with no aids is not always easy, especialy that we know that Monaco is comming up soon

NAR is bases on respect. We dont all leave in same country, not same way of seing things, but we usualy always concluded situation in good way.

In NA, we are not a full grid, but 90-95% of drivers in NA always race. So expect to be from 11-13 in race. Dont worry, if your patient, you can score some point in race. Just watch out, we have fast to slow driver, so you will learn fast who to watch in your mirror, and who to watch out when you lap them, respect is in both side. Keep in mind, that it is better to follow and put presure on a driver at same speed as you, and wait for a mistake instead of doing a dangerous Sato inside pass  with no aids, the door will always open in front.

Cya in practice session.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and the tips. I get the don't-drive-like-Sato thing - advancing by way of attrition is going to be my strategy for now. ;)

Two questions: Can anyone recommend a fuel/tire strategy? I just won't have the time before the race to put in a bunch of distances to judge what tires I should use and how often I should stop. Worst case is I'll just err on the side of hardness so they go the distance until I refuel.

The other question: Setups. I'm planning on just running the stock setup since I'm new to both the car and the track. If anyone would be so kind as to provide a setup file or even just point me in the right direction with any basic changes (gearing and downforce probably the main two I'm worried about) that'd be fantastic.

Thanks again, all. I'll see you tonight. 8 PM? What time zone?

just ask someone if they could share theirs, almost everyone does

for tires, i use meduim softs mostly. tire temperatures are a big problem in spain, so good luck!

yup, usualy, any driver are willing to share setup, just ask, and try some different setup from driver, we dont all drive same style. 2-3 stops is average strategy, more are on 2. True, Barcelona is tire eating like Kaffee said.

Well, thanks everyone for the help tonight - I finally got it (mostly) working. I still get a MM on F106.hdv, and I've tried a couple from NAR guys and it still MMs. Weird.

See you all Friday night.
