engine

Post by limpindog »

hi all
hope all ok and happy i just thought id let you know about something.the engine .
the one i have here improves the grip for many slippy tracks and helps 1st and 2nd gear be more stable . no physics change just the rev ranges been altered.
i noticed there was a few small problems with the engine that we have on server , mainly it be 1st and 2nd gear , i have made an ajustment to that and used the spec from a real v8 . i was just driving round the steveB track AUS and noticed it help stop the weird slide a few may have noticed :)

was wandering if anyone is about to come try it with me , steveB and jeff
i could do with and hitman if you there give us an msn

and anyone else

try it out i be on server . will open one

oh yea just delete the NEW bit in the name then replace in f1 champs f06 folder , backup the other one before you replace it

ive also fixed the pit groups so now your team mate be in same garage
and hopefuly sorted the racecast . there is a new rfm file for this .

the engine im sorry i am a bit late getting it done but this one is more acurate and less likely to blow , it helps stability of the car that the other engine has problems in 1st and 2 nd gear that to me is just not right

ok if you choose not to use the engine you may have to swap around. overall im happy with the new engine and for the mod it needs that v8 engine to make it more complete .i gona do a whole day running the engine tomorrow and if it ok it be put in 1.06a

i like it, but its amazingly slow compared to the old one :)
1.24.7 but i need to take off loads of wings with these reduced speeds, so high 23s maby?

think this will be a good alternative, not necesery in melbourne since we(or atleast I) know the track so well, but later on into the season when we need to learn other tracks

also, this will probably close up the field quite a lot

but man what a difference...from 1.21.5 to 1.24.7
EDIT

what i meant to say was that i think its good, and we need to test it on some "harder" tracks and it will be a lot nicer to drive. Very stable for me, feels almost impossible to crash it :) and i'd like to start the season with it, since there are lots of crashes right now

Hi Guys,

To be honest I am unsure about it, the car feels like it weights 20 tons to me with no power, I had to change the setup a lot to get a good lap time in, wings were 19 front 15 rear, this is a street circuit, I just think the wings are a little on the low side, although the car was a little twitchy I could drive all day long in the 25's, I was bored after a few laps.

PS: low fuel runs my engine blew a few times, not had that before
