RESULTS: Indianapolis

Post by killahead »

Ok everyone. here are the results from the Indianapolis GP. The reason for the delay is that we had a looooong discussion about calculation of cut track penalties. The outcome of it is that the cut track rule will be updated before next race. It will probably be at least as strict as the way we have it now.

Congratulations to the winners, Carrera and Patrick! :D

NAR NA:
1: NAR CARRERA 1:31:27.405
2: {NAR} Hitman +1:00.030
3: [NAR] JUAN +1:17.020

5: EXX +2laps
Penalty: Cut track +40 seconds

6: [NAR]Bilbo +3laps

9: (NAR) Paul +7laps

DNF
10: [NAR]Flow +9laps

Well as soon as we see clearly 4whells out of track (white line or 4 wheells on curb). USA is tricky, just like France. We will have to be carefull cause when theyr's asphalt instead of grass, its easy to go wide, and its giving an advantage. Even if its few .sec, its still a gain of time. Dont worry, in NA' 1 DNF driver went wide on almost eatch lap. We would need to give a huge penality, but since hes DNF out of 90%, penality is not needed, but still reported.

Its easyer in NA, last year we were driving 4 wheels on track, so 2 is just less hard to do.

Dont worry, just watch out next time.

If you dont agree, check your replay like you said, and let us know, we will make shure with you that its clear. Post to Killa or Drago about it.

Its easy to say to not go outside line.

But if there,s no line how do i know im not outside it :?

I guess you dont know how it looked at mine pc, i can make a screeny of it so you can see it youreself how i had to race. Or perhaps you forgotten how much problems i had to get the track running properly. :?

Its not that i want to put something straight again, just want to say that i didnt had intention to gain time on purpose seeing the big penalty i sufferd. Besides mine setup was crap anyway, with some decent testing i would have gone a second faster legal driving (im not joking) just i didnt had time for proper testing that week and raced with canada setup.

Hehe np, we know that its not your normal driving behavior to cut that mutch. Up to now, you drove clean. But we are sorry cause we have to be fair to all driver and judge them on same level. It also not fun for us to give a penality, but rules are rules.

if you didnt practice alot or have wrong setup, well we only can say its your... hummm... your fault  .

But if you have graphic display problem then we are sorry for you. Hope this graphic problem dont apear on all track.

Come on :D practise has nothing to do with it lol

I lapped in legal laps wich where almost a second faster then the laps i made a cut. I counted 6 cuts and only one of that was justifie to give penalty. All other had different cirumstances.

Then again i asked how they look at cutting, i mean cut is a cut or do they also look if you make mistake go wide, or batling car or etc etc thats where i want an answer on.

lol thanx but i knew i had won:)

lol some drivers have harsh penalties i would not expect mark aalberts to have 3 laps down while he was 2nd in the race......

Well sorry for those who got penalties:)

Maybe i can,t attend frande and couple more races so the championship looks very bleak for me:(

The alternating white-and-color curbs and the line are part of the track as they have always been. What Flow meant is that you must have at least 2 wheels touching the track (as defined in the rules) AT ALL TIMES. The 2-wheels rule is particularly enforced on the inside of turns (as in cutting) and the outside of the exit of turns (as in going wide).

Supervisors try to use judgement when judging the cuts/wide rule but don't trust us or rely on this. If there is clearly no gain in a "mistake" violation or if you lift off the throttle enough for it to be noticed in the replay, that particular offense will not be counted. But if you purposefully cut the curb almost at right angle at T12 of Indy (entering the oval) and don't even try to stay near the line, you'll get penalized for sure (this is just an example). If battling with another car, the rules allow cutting for safety (as in not hitting a spinning car) only but you can NEVER gain anything (speed, "safety" (as in less danger of spinning or hitting a wall), etc.) from violations...

That explains it DP, you are usually not a track cutter. I was wondering what was the matter.....

Try the tracks a little earlier next time so we have time to fix problems, if they occur, before the race! :D

See you all soooooon, only 10 days to French GP. I guess the Renault drivers will be stronger than ever, I heard LeDoug is in training camp!
DP is always fast as the wind. Perhaps Carrera and the NA guys have some ideas how to slow people down....I remember an old dwarf experiment that got out of hand......perhaps they got some new revolutionary theories..... 8)

I'm gonna blind you all with the reflection from my chrome-McLaren......if I can't win by driving talent I have to look for "alternative" solutions, right?

pffff Killa, to blind me, you would need to be in front of me. On my dynamic message on my super mirror, message would display : 'Killa is far back than he appear'

For Carrera, dont worry, hes fast, but the problem is... he drivres an Honda, ask Barichello what he think of his car

Hope to see ya on the race of champion... humm unless your not there, seem that Euro have pretty mutch faster guy than you Killa!!!

We did not have the RoC last season. Despite repeated attempts at discussion about it and given the situation of the Euro div and NA div1 last season, the RoC just did not happen...

I still have nightmares about that RoC though, I did quite poorly in it (I did lots of mistakes at the race that never happened while training), that was a real shame!

haha what the fuck penalty fore cutting. thats ok, but were are the penaltys fore all the crashes and hits from behind etc... its to easy to only put a penalty to a driver when you like it. Please this is stupid. I have seen very bad driving and also chatting in race. Al this no penalty no nothing. and by the way, same what mark said. is it not aloud to drive with 2 wheels on white line ore curb?? when you guys think its profesional to put in penalty's thats ok by me, but dont do it only on the replay from the server. Ask fore replays off the drivers, thats the only fair way to see if a driver cuts or not. I realy dont care about my penalty. i can hardly remember if i finished and on what place i was. And i also dont like to watch my replay.

when you guys think this is the way to work then its fine by me, and then i know fore sure that iam here in the wrong spot to drive fore points. And then iam only here to have some funn and push more then i did before to maybe yes here what i said maybe hit another driver from behind. because i am sure i dont get a penalty fore that.

it is quite beautiful to say things but is frankly necessary to have the courage of the statements as well as the charges thus when a problem of struck come I think that it should be said rather than to cry over the forum and to be caught some after with the next race with a pilot which will not be there for nothing.lot of people say that they are in this league for the fun but it is not true sorry

Ferry, i review your replay cause you put me in doubt. I wanted to do Mark replay, but since you went little hard on word on our judgment, i decide to watch yours first.

Since you went public with so nice word in public, let me report my personnal review. These cut may not be exact some has Euro supervisor judge, cause i drop some was not clear, and keep those, they may keep some i drop and vice versa.

Normaly we do it in private, since you shout public, il report public, hope you wont be mad.

1- L2T7
2- L4T7
3- L5T7
4- L13T7
5- L30T7
6- L32T7
7- L36T7
8- L39T7
9- L42T7
10- L43T7
11- L51T7
12- L55T7
13- L57T7
14- L69T7

15- L28 after T7, you overtake RoadRunner outide of track, witch is not alowed, hes was 1 position in front of you.

Note : Incident with Seb L19T1, clean, hard to say if 1 driver is in fault, both have litlle responsiblity on it.

Please open your replay, and watch carefully these reported cut. Let us know your feeling about them. If you judge them not cut, then wy were you driving off what we call 'track' If you realy driver for fun, then wy are you so upset about our penality. We spent minimun 3 hours eacth supervisor per race X4 supervisor, mean a total of 12hours only to make shure those who take this seriously hare hapy, and those who race for fun wont bather with penality anyway.

It is the 1st time you cut that mutch, and not shure even if its 1st time you receive a penality, so your average normal race up to now were always clean. You did great racing up to now, wy be so mad at 1 bad result?

We can continue this discussion in private if you want. For the 1st time, i didnt ask other supervisor opinion about this post back, i hope they wont be mad at me. Usualy we handle this with respect, dont be afraid to discuss about it.

Well Flow,

let me say one thing iam not mad at all, i said already penalty fore cutting is ok. but dont do it on the replay from the server. thats what i said. and as i said also i dont care much about a penalty. and yes i did no single lap before the race. so yes i did some cuts thats ok. But why i said these things are because there happens lots more then only cutting in a race. as an example i did a hit on Sebastian Keijmel. he said also a few things as i can remember in the forum on another topic. But where is the conclusion off that hit?

Its very easy to look were on what lap who touched. so look in to that, and give penalty's fore crazy driving etc... thats what i mean. there are a lot off good guys in this league but there are also a few who are doing stupid things again and again. and not no single penalty fore that. I mean Chatting in race, it happend fore sure. but a warning NO a penalty NO. so what about that. when you dont no what i mean. i will say talk to Klaaz and he can explain perfectly. i reported a few things to him a few races ago. But i stop with it, because it helps completely nothing.

p.s. why did i overtake roadrunner on the outside? did you also see that?
