Private forum news - "You have been erased!"

Post by killahead »

ok ok.....my old Arnold quotes are a bit rusty.....I dont remember if that was the exact way he said it......anyway.....

The private forum is for ACTIVE NAR drivers only and we have cleaned up in there. I did the actual cleaning and being a man I might have vacumed both things we need and things we don't need..... 8)

...so.....if you are an active driver but all of a sudden find yourself locked out from the Private forum, post your story here and I will hook you up again. Sry about this....the old trigger finger *remove* *remove* *remove* *remove* *remove* *remove* ....ops.......

We need a forum secretary for these kind of jobs. :D

Well its only for Active driver, and if they dont race, why they can have access to private conversation, track, password. Other than that, our general discussion are supose to be public or open. we are still discussion about some not realy active driver if they are still alowed in that section.

Any time if they want to race or join again, it will be a pleasure to alow them to private forum.

I can not agree with this darling ...

if there is a NAR who is thinking about to race again, then it is pretty normal to get an overview about how the whole situation at NAR!

even the whole situation at the different divisions can not be checked just by the forum!

... but not active racer are not at the races ... how they get done ... how fair they are ... and what ppl really feel after the race about it... if they are happy with how things get handled ...

it is allways good to know that things are still going well at the family (...if so)!

AND IF NOT ... then I would allways treassure the opinion of an old dog!!!

not that I wanna cause now that killa will do TO MUCH CLICKs by add the not active racer who where active once ...

maybe there should have been a topic about it before anyone got delete for make the different views about it sure and then to decide what is best and right!

I allways treassured most at NAR that the rules where FAIR TO ALL in the past ... I hope when I run my season with NAR again in 2007 I will not have to notice, that things changed in a bad way!!!

and killa you and all other darlings better start to remind that I am still not quiet! (no comment about that brad ... you are right ... yeah ... still  ) I will allways say when things are wrong in my opinion ... same like I allways will accept the judge and order from the leader! :D dp knows I do even when it is hard for me, as long as it is fair to all (us gp 2005)!

at the end I can actually not see why I still have access! I do not run this season ... and if there are not active NAR who do not have access to the private forum, then please delete me also ... or give me a reason why it is a fair decission that I still have access!

hell killa if you are bored, then write a song!!! (if I may suggest ... a powerful and happy song)

... have a nice day! ... have fun! ... I DO !!!

Well let explain like this. Private at origin, like DanTheMan remind us at begining of season, is supose to be intent only to Server password, track discussion for this year cause we dont have authority to release them to public and 'private' discussion.

Private :
password, server, internal discussion, track release and problem.

Private mail :
For harmfull or private nice words, we recomend to use the Private mail.

Public thread :
All feeling about race, mod, other drivers, a driver missing a race, some one having trouble, need help or any NAR race related discussion

Open :
Any discussion about anything that is or not realy related to race or that is in interest of open public discussion.

Its just that we are making (including me  ) a little bad use of 'private section'. This is more the point.

And we cant start to say, him and not him, wount be fair. So admin decide to let only active member up to now, knowing that still some 'non active' or 'not shure' active member use it untill its a clear decision. So if one day a driver quit with bad intention, or is baned cause of cheating proof or we boubt about his intension, then we wont have any problem. NAR never seem need to ban someone, but who know the day we will need to do it. Hope we will never have to do it.

See your still able to post your opinion, and we all can see it

flow it is absolutly no question that a banned racer should also have no access to the private forum!

well the other reason's I can understand! ... though I think it must feel sad for some old dog's if they suddenly have no more access to the private ... but that might be sentimental girl shit  and not really mean anything to the dudes 8)

One thing to mention is that nobody's account is locked or disabled as a result of this, so the Open and Public forums are still accessible, as is PM.

If any inactive driver wants to come back, they are always welcome just as in the past. The only difference being that, unless they somehow make it clear that they're coming back, they will have to ask Killa for access to the Private section, which will likely be granted without much question if they show interest.

But as Flow (and Dan and others) already said, the Private section really should be used only for really internal NAR stuff that should not be seen by/distributed to non-NAR members (NAR events, private URLs, "strictly-in-the-family" discussions, lawyer-disapproved activities that could get you into trouble, sexist jokes you don't want your children to see, important and sensitive stuff like that).

As a side note, our race reports are now generally posted in the Public forums on purpose (they have been for a while), just so anyone can see them.

Actually Meo....I think I overlooked you.....so many clicks it seems like I missed a few.

Both Bilbo and Flow are right. I also think that it is a good thing that NAR drivers have a more private place to discuss things if needed and if we make it clear that it is for active drivers only it makes everyone more comfortable to discuss things that otherwise might never have been talked about.

I will remove you for the private forum then Meo. If you don't want to have Klaaz's car for the rest of the season? He is out because of his back problems so there is a seat available.

1. I am not going to run this season ... this should definitly be clear by now!

2. even if I would I could not since my wheel still did not arrive ... transfer from italy is taking way to long allrdy if you ask me!

3. I did not really care about the actualy posts in private ... only in lonely moments when I decided to install the right track for have a look what the guys do (happened 2 times)

4. the reason for why I would like to have access to the private is because I still get add by dudes from ftl who have questions about F1C ... then I like to have a look in the private forum where I have some of the information and links posted I need then to help those guys! BE SURE I DO NOT WANT THIS TOPICS TO GET MOVED TO THE PUBLIC FOR THIS REASON !!!!

5. I would have like to see how things are going at NAR also in private forum when I have my career shit done and some things in my privacy solved ... maybe the one or other things would have been in the future where I would like to do a post in the private forum about and not in the public!

6. I am not going to research now... what problems might have been caused in the private forum by not active racer ... you might have your reasons why you handle things like you do killahead!

7. I AM A NOT ACTIVE NAR! DELETE MY ACCESS TO THE PRIVATE FORUM!

cya

I could have been quiet ... but that would not have been fair to all!

First off, it is not only I who runs this league. As a matter of fact, most of the running is done by the supervisors. Since Klaaz had to step back due to injury I have filled in as supervisor also lately.

I think it makes perfect sense that non active drivers should not have access to the NAR private forum. If a non active NAR-member wants something from the private forum it should be possible to arrange that. We are not banning anyone, as Bilbo said.

IMO it makes more sense to close it for private discussion, should have been done longer ago and should be kept up to date. It was mentioned in the Admin forum by someone and we decided that the best thing to do is to have the private forum for active members only.

There is no reason to get upset about this Meo.....

SIR ... when I am upset it looks a way different

I have my own opinion about it and I told it and I accept what the management does after I have told the reasons of my different opinion, and I want it fair for all which incl. that I also don't have access to the private forum!

I was talking as a non active NAR and as I also said I did not research what the non active racer have done in the private that the admins and the management had to decide this way!

I don't like it but I accept it as long as really just the active racer have access to the private forum by now!

it has nothing to do with me being upset or not that I have my opinion about things as long as I get a good reasonable view that can change my opinion and that I go for my opinion strongly as long as I have it (except some weak moments) should also be nothing new for anyone here!

I suggest at last to post your info about the deleted access as a sticky or it will be lost in a few month and non active racer do not show up weekly here ... some only once a year or a few times a year! I don't guess they are going to do a SEARCH then for a topic about this!

in the past it was allways sure that an active NAR member would allways have access to the private.

like I said ... might be sentimental girl shit and not matter to the dudes!

be sure I will also not ask in the future for get access if I need information from the private section! I allways got more told about what's really going on in the dudes by my msn than there have been post's in the forum
