This is the time

Post by Kaali »

Hi All.
That's it. I have decided to quit NAR. I can't race that late NA race at so it's better for me to quit. Have to prioritise everyday life higher than sim racing.

Take care all. It was fun as long as it lasted. 8)

Hello Kalli
I understand your frustration.
Seems we have a problem getting started on time.
You will be missed in the race and I hope you will stop in on the forum or in practice just to do some laps and say hi.

Sorry to see you go, but I do understand the decision. As killahead said we'll see you again soon when you get the itch.

Yo Kaali,
I guess life is something that overtakes us all.I know I have been frustrated with this season so far as well.Seems something always happens.Whether its lag or something else.Gotta keep the faith though as it is still fun to drive with all the NAR family.Hope to see you again online soon m8.good luck.

I think I owe you guys an explanation.

The problem is that I live -3 hrs UTC, GMT or whatever it's called nowadays. When it's 8pm EST in U.S. or in Canada, it's 10pm here. That sucks to say the least but nothing I can do about it. My superego tried to convince my Id that it is really, really really ok to race even though I knew that wouldn't be too clever to race. Qualification starts at 10.15-10.30pm my time, race 11pm and last my car decided to stop during the race was at 12.30am. Last of couple of races my Monday was completely ruined 'cos adrenalin is still pumping at 4 in the morning with eyes wide open and frustrated over going out of a race with fuel problem! Well, anyways it's not good or healthy (at least I am trying to convince myself and I am not completely convinced yet!) to work without having slept enough, so that is why it's better to stop.

We start the qual at 20.00 CET sharp (well, 20.03 or so most often). After qual we usually do 10 minutes of warmup. The real race starts ~20.40, depending on how many people show up (more racers = longer qual).

Most races have ended between 22.00 and 22.20 CET.

Hey Kaali, what happened with this.....I thought you were going to race with us in the Euro division? Or did you go back to NA?

Qualifying starts 20.00 CET and like Dan says.....races usually end around 22.00-22.20. yesterday we were done 21:50 i think......but we were only 15 (or 13???) cars so the qualifying was 5-10 minutes shorter than usual.

And we even have time for 10 min warm up before the race which is very nice IMO.

Soooo.....what is the problem? Lag....? Nooo....not in rFactor??

Hi Killahead.

No, no and no.

I am not joining EURO (you EURO guys too fast! ) and I am not back in NA but the circumstances make it impossible to race with NA. Even though I would love to be back

If I can I will join NAR (EURO and NA) in practice to see how you guys are doing. That's all I can do atm. Too many projects going on at work (and that includes alota meetings with several departments) but I am not complaining 'cos I love what I do 8) .
