It was a relatively uneventful race for me. I went from pole to finish in front of the pack.

Right from the start, I saw Juan NOT make a move on the inside as I was expecting him to do (judging from past races), so I was able to exit T1 safely in front and immediately started making a gap. I was on a 3-stops strategy and after my 1st pitstop, I managed to come out in front of Juan who was 2nd since the start (for the whole race if I'm not mistaken), but just barely. That may have led to a nice battle but he pitted on that lap, so there was to be no battles.

I tried to push a bit for most of the race (so I didn't fall asleep) but not too much to be dangerous. Around lap 35 or so, I started having "brain cramps", doing silly concentration mistakes but I was lucky to never hit walls hard or spinning too much. With about 5-6 laps to go, I realized I was missing 1 lap-worth of fuel, so I started short-shifting and since that was not yet enough but almost enough, I started going really easy and even coasting a bit in the before-last lap. I had enough of a lead so that did not compromise my win (I could have made a 4th pitstop with no problems but I figured, why go the easy way when there's one more risky? ) I managed to make it to the end of the final lap, with the engine starting to hiccup in the last turn but I was able to cross the line before the engine died.

If not for the few inconsequential concentration errors and the miscalculation of fuel, that would have been an almost perfect (maybe a bit boring at times) race for me.
