Will they race?

Post by Steve »

hmmm, looks like the michelein teams are thinking about boycotting the USGP if they don't put a chicane in the last turn, could be interesting !! Williams said if they don't put a chicane there, they will NOT participate in the race

I shit on ferrari, but yes this is the new rules fault, and Michelin error at basis also, but they coud race i ferrari woud say yes to temporary chicane

THE MORE ABVIOS is that all Michelin driver woud race with no point if they accept to make tire change and then woud let a nice show to F1.

Hello All
This sucks the big one.
Fucking Ferrari & Minardi & Jordan no fucking CARECERTOR at all.
If they had any balls they would have backed up the rest of the teams and not race.

A Little letter to Ferrai
You big Pussys.
What's the matter the only teams you can beat is Jordan and Minardi to get points. As a whole you should be a shamed to even do a lap.
Over the years you have boasted your selves as a honarable and compeditive team yet you just shown the world that you guys are a bunch of PUSSY.
Sincerly
Ruben Hitman Miranda

They better return eveybodys money Shit they will rip the place down to the ground.

Did you here that letter from The FIA You should have had back up tires.
What a bunch of dumb asses.
If even they did with the new rules they would not be able to use them.

I am so pissed and disapointed.
I in my life have never seen or heard of this.

Hitman
I might not be fast, But I am ahead of you.

well, its disappointing that it happend, and yea, michelin should have brought more/better tires, but unless there is an underlying power struggle that we are not aware of, this is about safety, and i applaud the teams for doing what they did. sometimes you gotta stand up and say, fuck this shit, to bad we cant do it in the us more often. i feel bad for all the fans that came, but christ, how can u ask drivers, "ok, go slow in this one corner, but dont get in a bridgestone cars way at the same time." michelin knew that if they let them race, that someone(kimi or juan) would be pushing through that corner because thats what race drivers do, the tire would fail, someone could get hurt or killed(fans included)then michelin would look FAR worse than they do by just pulling out. yea, it sucks, but i think the chicane was the best compromise, it affected everyone all the same, and would have had very little impact on the quality of racing. its a shame, because i feel this really comes down to power, and it might have to do with somethig else entirely.

i don't understand why everyone is blaming Ferrari,if thats the case, then blame Jordan, and Minardi also, blame the rules, specifically the "one set of tires per weekend" rule, and i agree Brad, put a chicane in there, and give the fans their moneys worth, damn i'm glad i didn't get tickets for this !!!

Well Steve, the only team that didnt want to agree to sign the change of that chicane was Ferrari, they were the only team who didnt agree to, the awnser they said, was, let FIA decide, we are not deciding, but 10 team need to agree, Ferrari didnt agree..

0AL MICHELIN team accept to race but at end of grid, with no point at this race, and let Bridgstone team go in 6 first position to race for point and only to keep good show. But FIA didnt accept the chicane, we got what we got.

maybe so Flow, but is it Ferrari's fault that michelein can't make a decent "safe" tire for a track they have raced for several years? The FIA should have put their foot down, and installed the chicane, let the teams practice, and let EVERY team do at least 1 tire change in the race, instead of leaving a bunch of dedicated F1 fans booing for the whole race.
Maybe this will also be a good thing, maybe they will rethink all of the rediculous rules they keep adding every year. If they keep going the way they are F1 is going to be a glorified version of CART. I like F1 because they are the most technologically advanced cars on the planet, but it seems that the FIA want to "dumb" them down

And to think I almost recoreded that race on dvd.Whew...what was I thinkin.I am just glad this didn't happen in Canada.I am sure now that f1 will not return to the United States after this mishap.I noticed M.Schumacher didn't celebrate his win on the podium??Gee...I wonder why that was..LOL...Well I will not be surprised to see the GPWC break away from bernie and F1 now.He must be on the ground throwing a temper tantrum.Ferrari ,Minardi,And Jordan sure looked like fools and greedy bastards out there racing by themselves. All I have to say now is.I am glad I switched the channel to NASCAR on fox..hehehe...AT least there was no politics there.Amazing how the almighty Dollar dictates the race as it becomes a commodity.Real racing is pretty well gone from f1 now.Oh...except from NAR of course...We can run michelins at the U.S track cuz if we hit the wall we can just hit the esc button and exit

Yeah, I agree with steve on this one. If Michelin built a safe tire then this wouldnt be a problem, and Ferrari was right in every respect. If Bridgestone had the problem with tires, I would bet my life that every single Michelin team would say "fuck you" to Ferrari and the others. Still, I feel bad for all the fans there, as they paid good money and probably based a nice vacation arou8nd the race. Oh well, F1 has become all politics and money, which has completely killed the sport. I absolutely hate all the new rules with the tires and all, and I even dislike the stupid 1 hotlap rule for quals. If I had it my way, it would be a lot simpler and lots of these stupid complicated rules would be gone. But oh well...

yep Cart, i agree, the fans are the ones who suffered, thats for sure. Plus all of the teams that didn't race spent a WHOLE lot of money to watch 6 cars go around the track

Well after watching dave despains wind tunnel on speed t.v.
I have come to the conclusion that f1 and the racers forgot who got them there in the first place. It was the fans.Plain and simple. When the fans lose ultimately,no apology is going to solve it.I am sure the money spent by fans to watch six cars run around was incredible amounts.I know some people bought plane tickets...hotel rooms..rental vehicles...and on fathers day.Got to watch six cars run around...bummer for all the fans that have supported the sport until this moment.M Schumacher said he doesn't think it will affect the usgp next year.I know after a disgrace like that I wouldn't spend my money on going to it...would you???ok maybe i would if i had some sort of guarantee.Oh and I have just been informed I cannot race due to my michelins being to wimpy to take turn thirteen.I might get a virtual boo boo and not be able to finish the season.Thats ok though as I only get a "virtual "salary anyway.
