I'll be away on a trip for the next 3 weeks (until May 31st). I won't be able to check my mail or read the forums, so please refer any problems with the website and/or stats to Flow.

Well, after a VERY exhausting trip, I'm finally back. I'm gonna have a few VERY busy days/weeks now to "compensate" for having taken some vacations (going back to work tomorrow and lots of "spring stuff" is now late around the house and needs doing ASAP).
I have visited (or at least driven through) most of France except the northeastern part, a little bit of Switzerland (from Lac Leman to Simplon pass) and most of northern Italy while finally getting through Monaco-Monte-Carlo. Overall, we drove about 6,000 km in 2 weeks (we did not have the car for the first few days in Paris).
Weather has been great, with lower 20C for the first couple of weeks and 30-32C for the last week (at which time we were in Rome (I) and Nice (F)). I have taken about 800 photos but, unfortunately, no hot chicks on them (unless you're some whacko who gets a kick from watching my mother and grandmother (80)). I did see some (actually, lots) but I either did not have my camera with me or was not ready (camera in box). Sorry guys, I will have to go back to get the pics!
I will post more news some other day because right now, I'm pretty exhausted and jet-lagged. It's enjoyable to travel but still, "home sweet home"!
Oh, and I intend to take part in my home race! NA DIV2 vacations are over now!

Hehe, thanks guys.
I will put some of my photos on my server sometime in the next days (maybe this weekend if it's raining) as I did not have the time to sort them all yet (~800 photos, thank God I had bought a 512MB card for the trip!).
As for cost, we have not yet counted everything but we figure about $6k CAD overall per person, for everything (airplane, car & fuel & tolls, hotels, restaurants & food & drinks, gifts). We could have made the trip for less but since we were travelling with my grandmother of 80 years old, we took relatively good hotel rooms (elevator to room level, AC, shower), mostly at 3 stars hotels (some 2 stars and you could tell the difference from the 3-stars). Rooms (for 2 persons) were mostly in the 80-120 euros range and suppers at the restaurants were everywhere in the 30-150 euros range for 4 persons, including drinks. Expect to pay more for the same rooms if you go in the "high" touristic season as we were always charged near the minimal cost for our rooms since we were off-season.
France and Italy are the places to go if you like to drink wine. We have seen many bottles that cost only ~1.50 euros and the good bottles were maybe 5 euros, which is less than what we pay around here for undrinkable pseudo-wine which must have come out of a nuclear reactor...
