New member who want to join. hes from quebec here hes already in a leauge and he never mist a race at all up to now. He is use to drive 03 and 04.
He seem fast, i told him to join us as soon as he can. I think he woud be a driver on Div1 from what he say of his speed, but a test in practice session will tell us if he woud join D1 or D2. Hes serious and his age is in the 40 dont remember exactly 40 what...
His reference came to me from Meo. He coud join us for monaco. will see after test an available place.

Now heres the problem. We have about 5 drivers who want to join at this moment, so, even if we do let them join (which I still think will cause us serious problems in the long run), how do we know where to place them? We qualified for the divisions with half of the league at one track. Who is to say that someone who put in a D2 time at Australia couldn't put in a D1 time at Monaco? I'm starting to feel this is becoming very unorganized and not fair to everyone, and I hate that. If we want this league to survive we have to consider growth and what happens when we take on new members. We need to look a year or two down the read and anticipate what will happen. Perhaps we need to implement some new rules and get some organization. I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way, but I hate disorganization and I think we need to solve some critical problems before we move on. I'll do some thinking.

Racing is more than just a hobby or a sport; Its an obsession
We could do some overbooking like the airlines do (ok, maybe not as much). If we happen to be too many to show up at a given race, we could ask the driver with the less races so far this season to leave his place to a more dedicated driver. In case two drivers have the same number of races, we could ask the one among them that joined NAR the most recently to give his place to a longer-time member or we could go by championship points too (the one with less points leave).
The goal is to encourage members (old and new) to race as much as possible so we have more interesting races and acknowledge the dedication of those who care to (or just can) show up every 2 weeks. There's no point joining NAR only to race once a year or so: it's only preventing someone else from joining (in the context where there is actual demand to join NAR, otherwise we wouldn't be having this discussion anyway). While we do appreciate the company and it's all just for fun, some of us do invest much free time to train and improve and it gets frustrating when we're almost alone on the track or delaying the start of the race praying somebody would show up and make the field slightly bigger.
I understand it could get frustrating to the one(s) being denied their race because too many people showed up but if we're upfront with it and make it part of the "contract", I believe most would understand.
Also, what's preventing the wannabes from qualifying at Australia like the others did? I think it should be clear that we probably won't be able to always put every newcomer where they might belong. Either Div1 or Div2 might get full before the other div and I would be strongly against switching an established member to another div, especially as we get deeper in the season (not mentioning this would scr3w up the points calculations big time).
Giving priority to older regular member, for shure i prefer that idea. Not for alowing lower point in champ. Cause actualy some regular driver have 0 point. The driver that ask me to join is a regular racer, and he say that he never mist a race in is league. So that kind of driver shoud have priority. Since its not prove yet to us, thos who mist most race woud understand to let theyr place to a regular one. They will understand. But older NAR memeber need to be respect also...
I just enumerated the first tie-breakers I could think about, it's nothing against anyone. It's more like a brainstorming than actual recommendations, although I really feel we need more race participation (but then, I'm the one who will miss the next 2 races, so who am I to talk about participation!).
I think the older NAR who do not race have to get ask what they want to do.
They have to think themself and to say what they want ... I am sure they will understand that there are still NAR here who want most fun in game together
But I kill ya when you do such stupid rules like 106 % like my spanish league ... that really sucks!
... have fun!
