Nice mishap Steve..LOL...
I've decided to get GTR tomorow as well as I can use another game to play online as rfactor is gettin old already...LOL...see you guys online when I get used to the damn thing..hehehe.

believe me m8, you're gonna love GTR, yes....... it has a few bugs, but the physics more than make up for that, the net code could be better, but it's not as bad as lots of folks are saying, i've been in a few servers with 15 - 20 drivers, and lag was not bad at all

I gotta go a little down south to get it but that''ll be a nice ride for a change.Today though I couldn't go.Apparently an East Indian freight truck driver was a little impatient and tried to pass someone on a corner.Unfortunately he didn't see the family in the mini van comming the other way.He killed the entire family and survived himself.That shut down the highway for a few hours so i didn't go today.I was not happy to hear the family was totally mutilated at the speed the east indian truck driver hit them...over 80 miles an hour and the speed limit is 55.I guess his life is now over and so it should be.So much for the family trip.man that sux.

Hey Guys
I was able to finaly download the Williams mod dam the whole world must have been downloading it.

That in its self tells you something. I wish I new how to convert the cars I would get to work right away on all of them. Well I hope to do some laps later today.

Well I got it now so I can join occasionally.
I had to first input thirty numbers and letters for the cd key.
Then another thirty numbers and letters for the online license.
I get the impression they don't want anyone on illegally and hey,where do you get this mod from anyway.

actually it's not a mod m8, it's just an add on, all you do is extract it to your main GTR directory, it puts everything where it should be
http://rapidshare.de/files/2058547/GTR- ... 1.rar.html click this link, then click "free download" then look at the bottom of the page, after installing it you need to go to your .PLR file, and change "wheels visible in cockpit=0" to=1 and you're ready to rock, if you don't do that you won't see your wheels, lol

Hey Guys
I did a few laps in the Williams thats was fun (Ohh Yes thanks for the tip Steve I was driving myself crazy looking for the reason I could not see my front tires)

Well it looks great although the display is to small for my Old eyes and I still hate that I can not understand what the F..K the pit crew is saying.

But this has nothing to do with the F1 addon. It has a lot more grip then I am used to My guess the Phisics are closer to 04 season then 02 or 03. Still it was fun to drive and I hope someone does the rest of the cars then maybe we can test the netcode.
One thing I whould say and maybe there is a fix in the option or something this car was bouncing up and down so much I was geting my head must of looked like one of those dolls that you put on your dash bourd and it bounces up and down.

In any case kool addon the guy did a great job

Well I tried this game online for quite awhile last night.
My first impressions after trying the demo were pretty good.
I did however run into a little lag with 18 people,but nothing that would affect my race.The car had many options to try out setup wise.I went into monza and posted a time of 1:46 after only a few laps.that put me on top but i was throwin alot of sparks goin down the straights LOL.Still the amount of options in the game were a nice addition to try out.I ran into a few old freinds also Like leninio who runs with no aids as well.He was going to join NAR a few months ago but had other leagues he had obligations too.Also,having more options and lcd displays in car is a major bonus.I've only tried simulation with noaids but like the feel of the car.Running off the road is a major mistake especially if you hit the gravel.So far the prefered car for me is the saleen which takes a bit to setup but once done...watch out...it flies..LOL..I still like the rfactor netcode better and would prefer f1 in rfactor i think...

yo chimp, it says the file name is "GTRMANF2004" does that mean you need GTR manager to install it? i don't have that, lol

After running in the chimpsters room I realized this game is well thought out.The online track monitor and optional time trackers made the game as much fun too watch as actually drive.Estoril was a bitch track but a blast after about 16 laps.Hard to figure out but the physics of the car were pretty damn good and after a while the setups were easy to adjust.I had a major glitch when i went to race though.It locked up for about 20 seconds and all hell broke loose.It turns out my daughter went on the internet right at that moment and screwed me up with her log in to the router.I was not a happy camper but after reflecting on the game itself I was happy with the times and the setups of the cars.This game deserves a thumbs up for content.I really didn't see any lag tonite even with many cars...cool...thanx for the room hosting chimpster...hopefully i can keep my daughter from getting online right when the race starts..LOL.....
