Re: Mod (re-)evaluation
good words Sailsy, thats a way for a driver to behave,

Re: Mod (re-)evaluation
Hello
For me if the mod does no change, I have decided to leave this league for several reasons.
1) I find it strange mod with bizare reactions and very long to get good sets.
2) I have no driving pleasure with this mod.
3) several of my friends have left nar at approximatley the same reason and it's been a great void under conviviality, the servers are nar desert
Voila I spent a good moment among you, there were really very nice people, but here i'm boring on the track, I prefer to go where there be a mod which will allow me to have fun as well for me most importantly entertain and nothing else.
I have nothing against any of you, but if it must stay like that, I am prefer retired.
Voila thanks and good luck to all of you
Sorry of my English is reflecting google

Re: Mod (re-)evaluation
I'd only like to know if there is someone who is completely happy with this MMG mod, because it seems hard to find one here. By "happy" i don't mean "used to" , i maean someone who drive the mod and say :"WOW, what a great mod!!" .
Once u find him i'd like to ask him to try F1rft and tell the differences he discovered between the two mods.
Someone could say i consider MMG phisic bad because i'm not skilled enough to drive what they call a real F1 car phisic.
I just want to remember those people what MMG did when they released public edition the first time , and i'll talk only about the phisic of the mod , without considering all other mistakes or bugs.Futhermore i have to say that the graphic of the mod is absolutely nice to me.
The first phisic release was absolutely and with evidence wrong; i could not imagine how a real engeneer could have create sutch a phisic basing it on real data..... .
Soon the answer from MMG was : ops , in the hurry of the events we just put the wrong phisic in it . We will soon solve it by the release of the server edition.
OK, but this sounded strange to me. If u did a mistake to put a wrong phisic in the mod , it means u already have the correct one , and u don't need to create another one and let then test it to private members and then release it for public.
The result was : great amount of wasted time practicing with public version waiting and hoping for server edition to be a better one .
Time passed by , but at the end , we finally had our server edition mod , and according to MMG it should have been the best F1 mod releaded ever .
You know my opinion about the server edition , and even forcing me to consider the phisic as real , i can't imagine a F1 car behave like that.
Futhermore when someone for sure more skilled and experienced than me about setting up a car ( even in real life ) asks to the "great" MMG group some explaination about some weird an extreme settings he had to use just to have the car "drivable" , you all know what the answers were............ .
So with the presence of F1rft mod which is imao a globally better mod than MMG , and considering the situation of euro side (can'talk of couse for NA) i can't see the reason to stick with MMG.
For people like me who need mutch time to get used to a mod , i just can say give a try to F1rft , and you'll notice you'll need just some laps to get used , not days or weeks ; of course pushing the car at its limits will need more time
.
Consider also:

See you on track

Hope i didn't annoy all of you with my talking nonsenceAnd wow what a blast it could be if both leagues could full fill the both grids, just dreaming awake but NAR on sunday RELAY on mondayon same mod.
The easier way to refill the grid for sure.

See you on track

Re: Mod (re-)evaluation
Well I am definitely not a fast driver but I did test the F1FRT mod and I mean NO DISRESPECT to anyone so don't get your back up....PLEASE!!!
I don't see what is so great about the F1FRT mod, I did (as all have been saying about setups) my normal setting changes and for me the car was just as hard to drive.
I tried a setup that was given to me that was made for the FRT mod and that made it even worse for me.I drove the setup AS IS and all I could see in my rear view were sparks flying everywhere, I don't see how those kind of physics make a better mod.I mean should the car be drivable if it is bottoming out all the time??
There are PROS and CONS with every mod released and also bugs that need to be fixed.
DRAGO SAID:
My feedback on the 2 mods (if anyone cares) is that they are both equally hard to get used to, I remember having the same trouble getting used to F1 Champions when we first started using it.
I do feel that the sense of immersion is a lot greater with MMG mod than with the F1FRT mod.
I don't only look at the physics end of the mod I like it to look as good as it feels and runs well and I know a lot of you don't share that opinion and thats OK
I have 1 question for the guys using the F1FRT mod>>>> what makes F1FRT mod so much better than the MMG mod??

Re: Mod (re-)evaluation
hi there
looks like communication isn't gettin' better over seas.
But Flow, i decided to quit because of MMG use and clearly said i would be pleased to rejoin if F1RFT gets in there.
I think you gently twisted the situation, and obviously not only mine
.
2 questions standing then:
Seeing that you NA guys push hardly to keep MMG and EURO the opposite why don't we drive both mods?
It remains me the 2004 situation, 2 mods season, but NAR is still alive.
Finally when do we (NA & EURO active members) clearly vote as the matter of this thread is possible mod change?
Regards

Re: Mod (re-)evaluation
Hi Folks,
I downloaded at 10-04 that F1Rtf mod, from the designers site, have some strange words in my game main pages.....is there a version without tose eastblock language???
because i can't read that !!!!
So i tryed the first time the mod and I can tell you in 2 hours i had a reasonable setup.
(with sparks offcourse what didn't influence the topspeed or bottoming
)
Yesterday i did some trainings and set my personal PB at Bahrain...129.6
While -I must say that I trained for the time that the new SE version excist- after long seaching for ideal line and breakpoints i never came under that 130,9 !!!
So I think F1Rft has some pro's like;
> easier setups, more grip.
> much better realistic looking cars
> better carsounds
> really very nice Spa-track
> realistic frontsuspencion-movement
Negatives;
> some old pitbugs
> strange language
> irritating long Arms in my sight while driving cockpitvieuw
Mmg is near to the perfection, but you need also a real enginering-crew and a technical race expiriance,
and has a boring sound.
I can imaging that F1Rft is better gaming for a lot of drivers in all differant kinds of trackexpiriance. Makes it nicer to all.
But if your driving 4 a long time like me, than MMG is more challanging cause it can B as realistic as it could B.
I suppose because i never drove a real multimillion openwheeler
All the best Race regards

Mac no one is pushing to keep the MMG mod we just don't understand why EURO guys are quiting instead of trying to adapt to the mod like in the past.

Re: Mod (re-)evaluation
Steve, here is not a matter of adapt to a mod that is difficult to drive . F1 79 can be a difficult mod to drive and you need to get used to it, but it works logical in setting , and usually you understand when you spin because of a your bad driving style rather than a bug in mod phisic.SteveB:
Mac no one is pushing to keep the MMG mod we just don't understand why EURO guys are quiting instead of trying to adapt to the mod like in the past.
MMG seems to be difficult to understand , and if you are even able to find a setup in some way that works for a track , you can't use the same line to modify setup to adapt the car to another circuit.
There are even no explaination from MMG to let us better understand the mod, just in case we are all crazy and unskilled drivers ,and they are guru phisic creators.
Imao you will never get used to it, it just sounds illogical to me.
I hope that from that you can understand why i (and for sure i'm not the only one)have no intention to spend so mutch time on something that will not even lead to performance on track , and neither to fun.

Lol, sorry, like i said, i was trying to track any comment that may give me the clue, and i didnt want to do it to offend anyone, but just that it could help us to make an overall review, and i find it interesting. About communication, lol im french, and it was late, and not easy, many didnt post in same thread on the subject. Instead of writting a false thing, i just said that i didnt get waht wer your position. I will change it.
Same for Philmax, when i say you quit racing, shure you may not quit racing at all, but i mean that you quit racing with NAR if MMG, il revise the text.
If any other find their note not correct, let me know.

Flow , it's nice to see your effort in asking what people think about MMG, but as it seems you NA guys have no problem with MMG , i can't see at the moment the reason to put some doubts about MMG for NA.
It would be a shame to discover now that also some NA don't like MMG.
Of course the situation for Euro is different as it seems that not only one or two people don't like at all MMG.
This will be my last post (someone will be happy of this
) till a decision will be taken or an official answer to what is happenig will be released from Euro admins.
See you on track

Well the mmg mod is a proven arcade game..LOL>..not a simulation.F1rft is a simulation.Setup changes in f1rft make major differences in the car.MMG you can make extreme changes to make a small difference on the car.I only have settled on one setup in MMG that works and I can live with that but I have no fun racing with it.I know others feel the same way.It has turned out to be a boring mod really and with the brakes that feel like your driving a 5 ton truck fully loaded,I can see why people are bolting from it.Those are not the brakes of a formula 1 car but more a a model t or something.Remember that the fastest guys are also brake turners and push the limits of the brakes and traction while turning into the tight corner.Without better braking they cannot make up time on a fast lap.I am pretty disappointed with the brakes.I can tolerate everything else but the brakes just plain suck.I'll go with whatever mod you guys stick with though but thats my opinion.
