Well I looked in the engine.ini and saw this:
LifetimeEngineRPM=(17745.0,342.0) // (base engine speed for lifetime, range where lifetime is halved)
LifetimeOilTemp=(125.8,2.90) // (base oil temp for lifetime, range where lifetime is halved)
LifetimeAvg=8105 // average lifetime in seconds
LifetimeVar=2940 // lifetime random variance
So this can be altered too.......
I mean; its an F1 mod and I personally like to make some revs; thats half the fun!
You guys okay if I try this out?

wel its just that creating a new version will make a new update, witch is what we dont want to do too mucth, you can test, up to admin to choose.
We can just use more rad, we are still 3 sec faster than realife.

Im against this, if you do some proper testing (time scale testing) you can see perfectly what will last and what will fail.
In real they also dont run max rpm then they do in qualy.

id have to agree on this one with dutch....eventhough some mentioned they had even lower numbers than me, it all depends on how you drive(style)

I was using 19000 rpm, rad 3, boost 5 and still blew my engine on lap 37.
I was geared a bit short though (shorter than I usually do), so it's quite possible that I overworked the engine by being too long at max revs or so. Also, out of habit, I do use engine braking to (try to) preserve the brakes (which were more critical in F1Challenge), so that probably did not help either...

might be the downshifts that destoys it for some driving styles...just guessing here with you bilbo, since you have taken a very preservative approach from all the other angles

I notice that when downshifting, some were peeking in high 19300+. Some want realism? We have more than we ask

. I had a setup that was different than Bilbo, mine was on higher gear, he was on shorter one.
We are learning the hard way, but we will get use to it.

First congrats to Drago for his first win of the season!
Second, I still working my ass off this project at work and it was report to 1 weeks more. I have a busy weekend coming but I know I will be free after this.
Every year it is the same at this time of the year
finally, I f you can remenbered it I have predicted that we will have lot of brake/engine problems this year and I am still worried about it when I watch the result of the 1st race!
I will try drago's technique (boost 7 + rad 3) for my future practice session.
I am so eager to join you on tracks
