That tells me

Post by Ruben Miranda »

Hello Bilbo
Well at least that tells me (Since You Can see the Server) that the proplem is here at home.

I thought the game whould move on to the next session but it just closed.

I do not know what my problem is here. Starting to get a little pissed off at this game.

I don't know if you tried it, but (assuming you are behind a firewall/router) try to join using your internal (LAN) IP address (192.168.x.x) and if that does not work, try your external IP address.
I am behind a Linksys router I am asuming that you do the changes with in the router. I will look at that.

Hitman, in my last post, I was talking about not being able to join Cart's server...

In the post before that (the one you quoted), I had missed your earlier post talking about the rental server, so unless you rented the whole machine and have it in your home, you can disregard my post talking about internal vs external IP addresses...

Things you can look at on your rental server:
1) Make sure it's not behind a firewall or that all the required ports are open (read the readme file!).
2) Make sure YOU (the client) have opened/forwarded the required ports in your router/firewall...

Other than that, except for not using Sierra, I can't think of anything else to check... :(

So guys, are we racing tomorrow? I'm guessing it will be 8pm Eastern, correct? I think I've got my server figured out so I can host. I realize that not everybody is prepared and I'm not sure everyone even has the game installed. So, if we have to, we can just postpone until next weekend and at least get a test in tomorrow night. If nothing else, we should at least do a test with everyone there.

I stopped practicing because I can't keep from locking the brakes up all the time. It kind of takes the fun out of it but I can race if everyone else is ready.

I won't be racing NR2003 this weekend as I have not practiced enough (barely at all) and would be a real danger to everyone. You can't just spin on an oval and hope to not take anyone out, so I prefer to let you guys have a safe race. I will try to be ready for the next weekend race or the one after that but don't hold anything back for me...

I prefer polishing the mod a bit more than racing NR now...

Ok heres the deal. I'll have a server at Richmond tonight at 8pm Eastern time. We will use this to make sure everyone is on the same page. Even if you can't stay long, just stop by for 1 minute to be sure you can get into the server. We can also do a practice race if you like, or maybe just a practice session. Either way, show up tonight at 8pm Eastern if you plan to race the NR2003 Winter season.

Thanks and cya tonight,

Just to clear things out, i wont race. I didnt get the game and a bit on purpose, if i race Nascar... practicing and racing will take me the few spare hour i have, and i prefer spend it on the design of our next web site, it will take me lots of hour to get to something finished. Il do this work process with Bilbo who will probably host the web site and Cart aprouval.

So have fun racing on Nascar, i remember playing Nascar at my old plystation...lol it was on of my favorite game.... hehe turning in circle for 1 hour dont bather me..

yes flow,
I'll have to pass on Nascar to as I have a cracked exe now and it won't let me play on sierras server.I have been playing Need for speed underground to online and its kept me comin back for new chalenges anyway.I still play Nascar thunder online every once in a while though to keep me on my toes.I got used to goin round and round for an hour back on the older Nascar 2002 as I was in 2 leagues anyway.

Ok guys due to a lack of interest we have decided that the NASCAR Winter league will be called off, we simply can't have races with 3 or 4 people. Its alright though, I have been told that we will have the NAR 2005 mod soon, and we can begin practicing on that. I can't wait to see what Bilbo has cooked up for us, with RH2003 physics and some RH2004 goodies. Also, Flow has been working on a new website for us, so it looks like NAR Season 2005 is going to be awsome! So, despite the fact that we will not have a NASCAR winter league, I can assure you that I will be able to have practice servers up very frequently thruought the winter, and we will be able to practice together online very often.

I'll see you guys soon,
