Bahrain...hummm

Post by Flow »

Not shure i want to talk about that race... lost front wing twice...lost left front brake around middle race...both front near 3/4 race...and back brake 4-5 lap from end....

I cross the finish line only cause it was last race but it shoud not be considered as a real finish, if it woud be more than 3 car i woud be dangerous to other...

Congratulation to Cart who win it and Aaron who finish second....
The 2 real winner of NA Barhain race!

A race to forget for me too.

First, I hit Echoshill on the first lap (no damage to me but Echo seemed pretty much out of the race as a result) because I misjudged his speed/line (I did a penalty pit after). As if I wasn't feeling bad enough, I scr3wed up my 2nd pit by being distracted by another team being out and I almost drove past my own team (call that 'brain cramp'). Since I did not have enough fuel for a 'go-around', I had to back up a bit in the pits and was very much fearing the black flag.

After being lucky (no black flag), I managed to race with Flow who was at one time about 3 seconds from me and then a few laps later, he was like 1:27 from me but I had always been in visual contact with him. So, as Aaron said after the game, it looks like the game f#cked up the lap count or something.

Finally, going in the pits for my 3rd pitstop, I hit an invisible wall on the left of the pit entrance. At first, I thought I had gone too close and hit the wall but looking at the replay, it's quite evident I was well clear of the wall. Anyways, that contact with a fictitious wall left some very real damage on my car, including a badly bent suspension, which made me quit the race on the lap after since the car was not safely driveable.

All my apologies to Echoshill for the hit.

Thanks Bilbo for the comment about the clock... you cleared my mind, dam im not crazy...lolol. My 1st wall hit i did was cause i was distracted by the clock who was telling me that the driver in front and in back was at 1.9 to .5 without no real change and when it was telling .5 i was looking in my mirror and the car was far than that... hehe but its not the only reason... lact of practice...hep

Bilbo,

No problem on the hit. I slowed up a bit to let you and CART by and in doing so, likely played a part in the collision.

Our collision only cost me my rear wing. I limped back to the pits and hit the invisible wall as well. This impact took out my front wing and the suspension. It spelled the end of my race. The disappointing part is that it is the first race I did not finish. Oh well.

All in all, it was a great season and I am already looking forward to next year. Winter testing will begin soon.

Please let me know if I can be of any assistance in preparing the program for next year.

Well Echo, I've got to work on my passes as I'm not very used to being 'let past' (dunno if it is the right way to say that). I'm much more used to be the one moving out of the way than being on the receiving end of a 'free pass'...
