For once, the 'take screenshot' key worked outside the car!

BTW, I first thought I was outside the 90% rules but it seems like I could (barely) get some points after all:

The 2004 F1 Sporting Regulations, rule #178 says:
Cars having covered less than 90% of the number of laps covered by the winner (rounded down
to the nearest whole number of laps), will not be classified.
Now, the race was 71 laps, 90% of 71 is 63.9, which rounded down gives 63 laps. Since I left the race halfway through lap 64 (so, 63 completed laps), my 6th position shown in the picture above is a "REAL" 6th position worth 3 points, not just a DNF! Whew, that was close! :P

I have kept the replay, PM me if someone wants to look at it...

Well, you did gain but you'll have to work even harder next race if you want this championship!

I may not fully deserve to be P1 (especially since I can't even beat Erick's point total), but I'm not letting the position go without a fight!

If it's any consolation, I've done only 1 lap of China so far and I ended up checking if ALL the walls were solid and safe... I will improve (can't do worse) but chances are good that you'll finish in front of me in China, if I finish at all...

BTW, for all those wondering, I will post a self-contained China Track Pack tomorrow night. No previous track installation required (actually, you may have to remove the NAR20042 filter from your GDB if you already installed the track). I realize most already have the track installed, but a few have not and this way, we can make sure we get no mismatches...

Other than the filter in the GDB file, I can't see any particular problem... I'd say wait to see if you have problems and THEN delete it all, otherwise there's no point in removing the track from the other seasons (which you may need if you ever want to race with non-NAR people).

i had 2 Koma, for speeding in the pit's, and i know i waited until i was across the line before i hit my rev limiter !! i wonder if it's because the last part of pit lane is downhill?

good point steve,I waited quite a bit till after the line before i hit the rev limiter and i did ok.but the first pitstop i forgot where the line was and locked the brakes and hit the rev limiter at the same time and voila..as luck would have it..no penalty for that screw up.Lag did hit a few times though and about lap forty i heard...your in first...your in first...your in first...about 30 times ..i thought the sound part had stuck on and i was gonna have to listen to that till the end...but after hearing it 15 times i then heard..congratulations you have just set the fastest lap of the race...hehe...so i knew it was not going to go on forever..whew...many thanx to people watching their mirrors as everyone pulled over to let me by...and Koma...the engine held together...wuuu huuuuu...thats a first eh??...tough beginning though...i feel for ya flow...very close in qualifying..first few laps steve was sticking with me then he must of had an off or something.congrats to echo for running a solid race again.
here we go in china m8's...lets see how we do in the last race of the season..
carrera 8) 8) 8)

I'm just wondering if there may be a bug for the pit line at Brazil, i am absolutely certain i did NOT speed in the pits, i made sure i slowed WELL before the beginning of the pits, and always made sure i was well past the pit out line before i sped up leaving the pits, just pissed me off, i did a stop and go for speeding, and when i left after the stop and go i got ANOTHER one, lol

The pit exit being downhill probably explains it, I think. Remember that the button is just a REV limiter, not cruise-control, probably calibrated for 79km/h on a level track. So as you go downward, at "max-for-level-track" revs, gravity could make you go faster than the limit. It does not take much since you were already at the limit at the top of the hill...
