np Steve, but just when you were freeze Carrera and Bilbo join us 2 min later... you just mist them... was a good night of practise for my part Echo is comming not bad, Carrera is eating the clock as usual...lol and Bilbo have to learn the track.lol
If some want reference, on qualif setup im able to do 1:35-36low, my best is 1:35.161 ( an a clean one, dont know if il do another time like that), still far from 1:33.XXX of Mark (i think)
sorry to see you locked up steve,
you had a great run in brazil for an hour and a half with no serious issues to speak of.China is a track where it is easy to spin.probably easier than any other track to step out of line in a 100% race distance.I think this will be a barn burner for a last race.I am interested in a williams and flow being so close to the third spot in the championship.I do intend to have fun again in this race whether i'm first or last.a 1:33 is not in my future though for sure.I will leave that up to the euro's to set the benchmarks..LOL...which they do all the time..see you again real soon guys...practise makes perfect...except when the engine goes boom ..hehehe..

one thing about brazil though Carrera, when i closed out the game after the race, my system locked up, had to hit the reset button to get out of it, this is really beginning to piss me off, i'm just hoping i don't have a bum card. I doubt it's a driver issue as the same exact thing has happened with three DIFFERENT drivers, the Omega's based on the cat 4.6's, the Omega's based on the Beta 8.07's, and the official ATI 4.9's
here's the error report from the log file in windows, let me know if you can make any sense out of it Could it possibly be a problem with Windows? maybe a file gone corrupt or something?

I may be slow, but at least I'm consistantly slow !
well steve i have had this problem before and had to send my geforce ti500 away to get a new one which fixed the problem.I know you don't want to hear that but remember.if your processor fux up on the video card you will have no choice but to send it away.It says your driver got stuck in an infinite loop. This is why i am suspecting the processor on the vid card and not windows.I thought it was ok in brazil but then it pops up again. My first worry would have been a virus affecting the bios on your vid card.Have you trid to reflash your bios on the vid card yet??I am wondering if maybe that will fix the problem. If you already did this then remember that ati is canadian and maybe since your in america it doesn't like the canadian card .ok not funny.but when your thread in your driver gets stuck in a loop and you've changed the driver like 3 times already only 2 other options seem to stand out.your bios on the vid card and your processor and or ram on the vid card screwing up.either way it doesn't look like you can get away without sending it away.i would first try the bios fix on the card but after that i am basically running out of ideas.like i said.I sent my ti 500 when that happened to me and they just sent me a new one and it worked fine.I did try the bios flash and it didn't do anything for me either.hmmm more dilemas.

Well your card cannot be screwed if it only happens online.Have you tried another network card by chance??.It is a little strange that it only happens online.Hey maybe try to drop your connection speed in the game down to see if maybe your connection is fluctuating a major amount.I got kicked out of a couple of games in toca racedriver 2 and dropped my connection down to 128 k and have not had the problem since.I probably should have dropped my graphices down from max instead but who wants to do that??...heck not me ..i dropped my graphics down in f1 and it helped a whole lot...have you dropped your graphics down in f1 during online play??say...turn off shadowing and major effects and such...since it just adds to your net packets anyway?just a thought of course...

Well Steve I know when I had my severe problems in the begining of the year, it was because my PSU wasn't strong enough. Turns out it was only a 250W and it wasn't strong enough to power the old 9600. It was causing the system to crash the game, shut down, and caused all sorts of error screens. I know this isn't your case as you have a big PSU, but I would suggest a PSU problem, maybe do voltage checks under load and see if it drops.

i was thinking it may be that too Cart, but that still doesn't explain why it only happens when gaming online, when my system is on, i am always online,,but sometimes i'll do some racing against the AI just for the hell of it, and it has never happened when running against AI drivers, only online. i'm gonna try reseating my vid card, and applying new AS5 to the core and see if that helps, if it keeps happening, i might just slap the ole' Ti4200 back in and see if it happens then
I may be slow, but at least I'm consistantly slow !
Yeah Steve mine did the same thing, only when hosting a server online. Maybe playing online puts more stress on the system, but I know you've got a big PSU, so it can pump big amps to the devices if they need it without straining itself.
