Well I think it would be ok but think of what your asking??..Bilbo would have to rework everything that he has done already and that takes alot of work m8.I think we should just finish the season off with what we have already.

I kinda expected the subject to come up since I learned that RH2004 was out.

For discussion purpose, please don't "count" the "work that Bilbo would have to do". Yes, it was a lot of work to come up with the NAR 2004 season because #1 - I did not know what I was doing (no previous F1C mod experience), and #2 - It was a kinda panicky situation (the season was already supposed to be started for a couple of weeks when I got the "contract" to do the season mod). Now, doing another season mod would be much easier because #1 - I now know what I have to do (and I have automated much of it) and #2 - it's wouldn't be an emergency so it would be much easier on me. Still, thanks for caring a bit about me.

I would just like to bring attention to what exactly are you asking for?
- Using the RH2004 season "basic" (i.e. 2002 tracks I believe),
- Using the RH2004 season + tracks (2004 tracks up to Germany, 2002 afterwards),
- Using the RH2004 season + tracks + "NAR2004" (RH2004 tracks up to Germany, "old" Tantra/ESCI afterwards),
- NAR2004 (Tantra/ESCI tracks almost everywhere as in the current mod) + RH2004 cars/physics only.

I have listed the options in what I think is "end-user installation workload" since most people (myself included) already think it's a lot of trouble to install the current NAR season and it may have contributed to our losing some members...

Now, if it is decided to go the RH2004 way, make sure you know what you're asking for because that's what you'll get...

Oh, and I have not even mentioned that Flow would probably have to redo much of his work on adding driver names to rear wings if we choose to go any RH2004 way...

It's probably MUCH more work for him to redo this than it is for me to come up with a new season...

I haven't tried the 2004 yet and i think it's best to finish out the season with what we got. I hate pulling my hair out with these add ons anyway.

I agree Carrera and Aaron, lets just stick with RH2003 for now, we can always use 2004 next year. I have the 2004 installed on my other system, and it IS very cool, but i don't like the fact that it changes the interface for EVERY season, not just 2004, i'm sure i could get used to it fairly easily, but one of my favorite sayings is, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" hehe
I may be slow, but at least I'm consistantly slow !

well guys.I am not sure if i can race today...I installed the 2004 season and my ping went trhu the roof in every season...nothing under 200 and a 700 max ping is what i'm seeing...so i may not make the race due to lag...i'll keep working on it though

We shoud stick to this season as it is. It no problem for me to do the graphic change, but i know one member who quit cause of those complicated updates and change while season is running.

We soud wait after the season to prepare next one who will be more cool than ever! 8) Im not installing RH2004 it until the season is done or NAR ask me to do so.

Take care Carrera, when its not your feet, its your cpu!!!
See you all tonight!

yo people...the update is too much like an arcade i agree. The physics suck as you don't lose the car very easily and have almost too much confidence...1:29 in malaysia???..that shouldtell the story right there shouldn't it eh?

just remember these cars in 2004 are faster now and do have more grip , also would it be so much of a bad thing to have all 10 of us in a line raceing for the win :)

After thinking about it for a bit, I think we should continue as we were supposed to. It's the "deal" we ALL agreed to. It's even potentially unfair to switch mid-season as some people may have invested practice time earlier that they could not (for whatever reason) invest at this time to adapt to RH2004.

Unless the decision to change is unanimous, I think it's better to just finish the season as we know it and maybe start planning for next season so we can decide early and start training for it in the right conditions (cars/tracks) this winter.

I could not care less about just a car-shape switch for cars-shape switching-sake in league races. But that's only my opinion, which is free even though I think I could have charged CAD$0.02 for it...

I was actually thinking maybe the physics would make for a less crash fest race where it is easier to run less downforce and still handle the car without any problems...this would be good to practise over the winter i think as we only have a handful of races to go yet...I myself am going to do like cart and race for fun and maybe i won't make as many mistakes with setup or over driving hairpins..LOL...I came close to doing the same as cart but just caught the car with a twitch before it went around...whew...we could have had some more fans dying of wheel impact and carbon fibre projectiles...hehehe...nice edit on the pic steve..LOL
