NAR 2004 Season Track Pack #4

Post by Bilbo »

Yes, it's that time of year again. Yet another track pack. Hopefully this will be the last one for a while (Bahrain and China are still MIA).

The tracks included in this pack are: Germany (Tantra), Hungary, Belgium (ESCI), Italy (ESCI), Japan, Brazil and Austria (Tantra).

Note that, as usual, you have to install the Tantra and ESCI stuff before installing the track pack.

If you can't get the Tantra and/or ESCI files anywhere (the websites seem to have problems), contact me and I'll try to put them up somewhere.

It would be great if everyone could at least try the Germany track ASAP since the race is just next week.

Finally, I have decided to withhold the single-file Full-season mod for the moment as I will release it integrated with Flow's graphics mod if/when it is working as expected. No point in doing multiple releases for no reason.

If you have ANY problems, PLEASE contact me, or even better, post here. GLA.

since all these frikin updates are getting to be areal pain in the ass to find...why not just post them in the download section so we all don't get confused and have to skip a race because the updates aren't there.I can see motorheads point now.I say we just use the tantra updates and ditch the others,Just more chances of major mismatches in the future.especially for the new guys joining...it is getting more and more confusing and hard to find these updates...although..you've done a great job doing the track packs bilbo...good job m8...but it does get a little confusing after awhile...as well as frustrating trying to keep up...LOL sorry to sound like a whiner but I am old remember..I can't even remember my license plate number...oh wait yes i do it is 043-ded ...fitting ain't it?says alot about my driving..LOL...

I understand perfectly Carrera. I find it a lot of trouble just testing the installation...

I'll setup my webserver so everyone can get all the needed files. It would be really great if someone could host the files more permanently. I'm not worried about bandwidth, I'm just worried about running a webserver on my main computer (since I haven't yet gotten around to reviving my old P200MMX).

To be continued.

OK, you can come grab any stuff by Tantra and/or ESCI at:

http://bilbo.game-host.org:8086/nar

This will be up for a limited time only until more permanent hosting can be found. This is purely for convenience...

forget my last post, hehe, i installed the 1.2 update wrong, all is well now, you have to point the update to the 2003RH monza track, not your main F1C directory

i did notice one thing about the Monza update though, MUCH lower fps, getting around 60 fps here, where i get near 100 at all other tracks I have my settings pretty high, 4x AA, and 16 X AF Image qual at full, and everything else at high

How did you guys install the spa update? It says in the readme that there's an installer but i don't see it. Can I just paste the files in the directories?

There is NO installer for Spa. Just uncompress the file to your main F1C folder while preserving the directory structure...

Aaron, do the mirrors work OK in the RH2003 season?

The mirror fix itself is included in Track Pack #4 (it's in one of the very few files getting replaced by the mod) but it would be interesting to know if you have the same problem in the other season. I'm using nVidia reference drivers 61.76 and everything's fine for me in NAR2004, if it's any help...

Steve, just zip it and it will become uploadable. There are just a few extensions allowed but ZIP is one of them and SCN is not...
