Istanbul reference times
Istanbul reference times
Did a few laps tonight. I tihnk i was around a 1.31 but alot of room to improve. This is certainly one of the more difficult tracks to memorize.

SteveB, I did not mean that comment as a complaint. But since you're asking, an example would be (out of memory so I could be wrong about this) the climbing left hander after the pit exit where there is only a single brake distance marker. Since it's located a bit early relative to the turn-in point, you have to "time" your turn rather than using a closer and more precise visual reference point. Hence the lack of consistency from lap to lap, at least for me. Please note that it's also a good excuse for when someone comments on your poor lap times.
I don't know how it is on the real track and I have no problem with the track as it is now, my comment was REALLY not a complaint, just an observation. Don't change things just based on this, I'm at ease with it.

i didnt had time to test this year version, but that corner was always an hard one, this may influence alot a lap time, but im not shure it is needed to change any thing, except maybe add more sign, but even with that, you still can use a different line that the driver in front, it will just influence the next corner with your oponent. I remember folowing Brad on that track in past, and i was using a different braking and line, and it was still fun.

its not like we can drive around with arrows showing us exactly where to turnSteve B wrote: BILBO>>> tell me where and I will add reference points. We still have lots of time for a v2.

and this is a really nice version of this track....i doubt the 50m marks are 50m from the corner but that doesnt matter at all.
