Thanks, and congratulation back to Aaron and Juan + all other who finish.

Qualif:
A mistake put me back in 10th position cause of a spun in T4, brake too late and that little hill just push me in the grass, and i failed to bring it back on track without a spun.

Race:
I notice a slow start in front, so i went for the right side, and almost been sqweezed between a Toyota (Paul) and wall, who went at last minute on same side of me to avoid a slow car in front. From there mistake came in front to open the way. The 2nd position went so hard to keep, Hitman who seem to pace good faster than me. He was pushing in my ass. End of straight, i had to move him in middle of track, but i had to let him go, he save the inside, but on end of next straight, i did the inside. Same think at next T4, i move in middle of track, forcing him to be inside, and he went trought the corner, leaving me the perfect inside line free. I was starting to think to let him pass me, i was so nervous and having my leg shaking was causing me making mistake. Few corner alter, he spun. from there i was 2nd, cruzing to only save my 2nd, Aaron was not far behing, and Brad at 20sec in front, was impossible to catch him, he was faster than me.

I must say that i almost hit QcMike, not his fault, he let me the inside, and i wanted to pit on the outsise of track in the last curve, lol, i dont remember how close it was, but my heart stop beating at that moment

I notice that Brad start to slow down neer lap 46, and i push to finaly see that Brad was in trouble. i tought he was damage, and tried to just avoid a pit to not loose enought time to let me pass him, 60sec in front. But Brad told me he lost his brake. That was the perfect gift i coundt ask. I wanted to put brad out of 90%, but i decide to slow down to save my car, Brad problem start to making me be nervous at end.

I need tose precious points, Im not fast enough to win them all, but patient and luck pay me good again.

After not starting in austraila I had little interest in testing here. It's probably my least favorite track. Saturday night I finally decided to run some laps here. Steve B was kind enough to share his setup with me. Sunday afternoon I went to making it work for me. I must have spun 4 times on the qually out lap. Still ended up 3rd overall. The early part of the race was fairly uneventful. I did see hitman hung up on the curb after the brutal right hand hill. I ran 3rd most of the race till Brad had his problems. I was on a 3 stopper but my car was at it's best the first say 4 laps or so. Still need to work on getting the tires to last. About 3 laps from the end I was lapping Mike when I thought he would stay right so I sayed in the gas and ran into the back of him. Sorry about that Mike. All in all, a pretty good finish for only having a days practice.

Crap day for me all around
I blew my qually lap with a spin in a place i haven't spun before, but figured with my luck in last race being towards the back was not a bad thing. Made it through T1 without mishap, did'nt know I almost took out Flow, sorry about that Flow. Got through lap 1 , legs shaking, heart pounding, tires warming nicely I started to chase down steve and Aaron after they made a few mistakes. Pushed in way to hard at sweeping left before back straight when I saw an opening aaron left me. braked a little to late and when he closed the door I was right on top of him, I hammered him and pulled a Coulthard right over the front of his car. Did a few lovely barrel roles and landed near the wall in sand. Some how i put it in neutral so I was still going, I realized I had most of my wings so i put it in gear. Unfortunately in my haste to get going I forgot that you need to press the gas petal in order to make the car go. DUMBASS stalled the car. Anyway, way to much practice for 2 laps, I hate not being able to restart.

Thankfully I saw that I had not damaged or taken out Aaron.

Aaron I am so sorry, for the hit I am so used to running alone I get overexcited when I am in traffic. I had been doing great in practice with race times around 135 - 136 consistent so I knew I had pace. I just attacked at the wrong moment.
Hopefully I get my head out of my ass in bahrain.

fantastic race for me untill 14 laps to go. got pole, wasnt happy at all with my pole time, made some big mistakes, i should have done a high 31. race was uneventfull for me. got a good start, put my head down and ran my race. i had 2 spins that resulted in about 30 seconds of lost time. at this point im 1min7sec ahead of flow, and while im pushing hard because i want to beat the euro race time, im trying to save the car as well. i guess i didnt save it enough, lost the front right brake, the front left, then the rears went and i wrecked the car. after a 252 second pitstop, the car was fixed(still no brakes) and just tried to get some points, which i did, 1. i do think that without the spins and the brake issue, i was on pace to have a race time of a 1:28 high to 1:29 low overall race time.....oh well, on to the next one.

oh yea, congrats to everyone who finished! traffic was awesome, everyone was very clean, had several passes during the race that i think resulted in little loss of time for both cars.
oh yea(2) lost the first rotor on lap 42. also, my race should have ended around lap 18-20 when i drove through the front of hitmans car, very odd no damage from that, i did feel it in the car, caused a slide, but no damage.

Disapointment

Post by Ruben Miranda »

Hello
congrats to Flow and all who finished :D

I new I was going to have a very hard time here before the race even began.

Had a little fight with Flow was fun while it lasted.

I had this problem @ Melbourne My tires are heating up very fast and then they are worthless. But the same problem at Malaysia where the track is hotter and ruffer and I was done.

I no it is my setup/driving style and I just need to figure it out.
But in the mean time I suck right now.

Hitman
I might not be fast, But I am ahead of you.

I have updated the unofficial results post above with a temporary link (also below) to working race reports. Thanks to Frank Wynants (author of the rFactorReports software) for his help.

Click here for stats! *Update: temporary link removed*

Please note that previous NA reports are not working at the moment, I'll try to fix this in the next days.
