With my son, we touch a real Ferrari today!

Post by Flow »

This morning, I was driving my son to kindergarden and Bridgstone was exposing a 2003 Michael Schumaker Ferrari and Patrick Carpentier RedBull Indy racing car (with an 1900 old car and a Dragster).

I went lucky for this reason. You cant touch the car, cause they put rope around it to block access to close to the car. But, when i stop by, theyr were installing the car, so nothing was limitng access. And the women that was cleaning the car to make it shine, let me and my son to get close to let us take nice picture. I had no camera with me, so i ran across the street to buy a disposable camera, Hehe, look of what i have 8)

Where are the photos of the woman that was cleaning the car? :?:

Getting to see a race car up close is always an interesting experience. On that subject, any racing fan going to or living in Italy absolutely must go to the Ferrari Galleria (consider it like a Ferrari museum) at Maranello which is across the street from the factory and about 1 mile from the track (where, if you're lucky, you can watch some private testing from the roadside). There are a lot of classic Ferrari race and road cars of all epochs. They ask you not to touch the cars but most are "unprotected" and the others are really close enough that you can actually "bend" yourself to watch over them or inside the cockpit. It's really a very great exhibit and even my mother and grandmother, who are NOT race fans, did like it (although they did get through it faster than me and my father  ). Oh, and you get the chance to sit in a F1 replica. Man, unless you really are the anorexic type, an F1 is really tight to get in.

Awesome stuff Flow! Touching F2003-GA must have been so cool, the one Kimi almost won over Schumi in drivers championship even though McLaren had so many problems that season. What da heck? I almost sound like a McLaren fan  My bad! Well, I wouldn't mind having Kimi @ Ferrari next year.
It's not hard, when you know how......

Yeah Kaali it was cool. I tired to picture the seal of 2003 championship winner on engine air trap, but the text didnt apear cause of reflection of light... but at lest i saw it with my eye, lol. This was the real car, and not a replica. It may not the only car he drove that year, but its one of them, and Ferrari let Bridgstone to show it around the world on the weeks of GP.

Dam, i realy need to buy a digital camera... :? i went at the motor store at the corner of my street, and a guy park is brand new T-Rex right beside my car... Wow, what a nice car/motorcycle. I pent few minutes disucussing with the owner. Verry impressive driving he said. He race a BMW M3, and guess who got lost in mirror, hahaha. Its wider than a ferrari and same height, but it stick to the road better than a ferrari (street version).

His version cost 65000$CAN. 13000$ of chrome and video camera mirror and CD + integrated GPS cell phone and more.

Sorry i have no picture... argg i need a camera!!!
