Wel, at least i went able to race tonight... My internet connection is off for 2-3 days untill my provider technician come home. I went to office and my wheel brake again while moving it... shit! I drove 25km to Xzwins home and went at is home just in warmup seesion righ on time. Thanks to him to let me use is spare computer, but i was not use to is FF wheel.

My race now, if i consider all trouble i had, it went verry fine. I started last (14) and lost 2 Front wing and completed on 5th position. What is good after all.

One thing, STEVE, you kick my ass in pit, lol, check that replay, we were side by side in pit driving out, but i had to let you move in front at exit, you were going to sqweeze me in wall, and you had 1 wheel distance over me, lol that was hot! 8) nice move out.

congratulation for Brad, and Carrera, Hitman, and even AAron, you guys statisticaly were supose to be DNF on the hardest track of season, shit both you 4 finish and seem to did a great race. Looking forword to cya on Sylverstone!

I'd like to apologize to exx for screwing up his start.

I took quick chat off just before the race so that i did'nt hit it accidentally while in race. I don't know what happened but it put all my wheel settings back to keyboard. On the starting grid I thought there was some lag and that was why my controls didn't respond and the nest thing I see is green light and I can't move. I quickly hit esc but unfortunately exx was caught behind me.

So sorry EXX

Well,I had a great race.
The hardest track of the year and i get home in first with all my wings.GO FIGURE....LOL....Brad was catching me slowly in the second stint.I pushed for all i was worth and he was still eating into my time.I am not sure when he lost the wing but that was my opportunity for sure.Pitstops went well and than x to everyone for clearing the track to let the leaders by in battle.I saw some lag but it was minor. The grumble was a bit laggy and popped in and out so i had a hard time getting near him.I had full brakes and radiator so I knew I could make it all the way with brakes.Greta run for flow as well with an alien wheel. He'll take those points and add them to his championship lead.Aaron gained a point on him though. Now it s on to Silverstone.See you there fellow racers.
carrera 8) 8) 8)

Would you believe me if I said "not as fast as we'd all like"?

I don't know how the implementation of "look" side is coming but I'm in discussions with MasterFred about the formatting of the data (XML) exchanged between my database/backend and the new website. Once that's settled, the actual programming should not take long assuming I have the time to do it...

Glad it is over

Post by Ruben Miranda »

Hello
The post heading says it all for me.

I am glad I finished but I made a lot of mistakes, lost a wing crossed the yellow on the pit exit among other things.
Had a prob with Grumble was trying very hard not to hit him but it was like now you see him now you don't.
If I hit you Grumble I am sorry.

XZ No problem on the hit I was trying to turn around when I saw you comming so I moved forward thinking you would go behind me.
In this case I say it is racing and shit happens

Well I will CU guys at SilverStone I am not good there either but I will try.

Hitman 8)
I might not be fast, But I am ahead of you.

whew what a race! congrats to carrera on the win, and to all who finished the toughest race of the year! my race basically got screwed in qualifing, i new i needed to get pole, and by second sector, was up a second on carreras time, so i relaxed just a bit as not to put it in the wall, and what did i do, put it in the wall :( started 9th, almost ran into the mclaren infront of me on the grid, got through t1 ok(we all bunched a bit, but not to bad) went side be side with xz through the right hander and shoot leading down to hairpin, that was crazy! lap one i tried to get a run on steve going into swimming pool section, spun, lost front wing #1 so had to pit on lap 2! came out of pits 11th, then just push push push. eventually got to second, had some instances with people, and im really sorry about that(aaron, i swear i didnt do that on purpose, i dont know what happend)got into second about 36 seconds behind carrera, got that down to 30, and then the gap stayed at 30 FOREVER!!! seriously, i think we stayed 29-30 seconds apart for 20-25 laps! it really was an epic battle with carrera, just 30 seconds behind. im still kinda cross-eyed from keeping one eye on track, the other on the gap! i was eventually able to get the gap to 18 after the second stop, but the i spun and lost front wing #2, so by that time, carrera was 47seconds ahead and i said screw it, 2nd good enough. soon as i slow, so does carrera(i think we both always had one eye on gap) then just cruising home, loose the front brakes with 10 to go. this bothers me, becuase i did alot of practice for this race, actually did 2 full lenght races, one one stop, the other 2 stop to see which was faster. both practices never had brake problems, then in race, going slow, they still failed, i dont get it. also, in practice, soft tire for me would go about 20laps before falling off, but yet in race, only 15? oh well, maybe i was pushing harder, who knows. congrats to carrera, that was an awesome drive, i tried to apply the pressure from 30seconds back, but it didnt affect carrera! oh well, started 9th, droped to 11th on lap 2, 4 pitstops, 3 spins, 3 stop on track to recenter wheel(yes its still doing it :( , so all in all, not to bad i guess. on to silverstone!

Sorry for my ghostly presence at Monaco. Thanks for letting me know. I must still be experiencing network issues which explains the lost connections I had. I will do my best to resolve problems by next weekend. I am just happy to have finished after missing out on the last two races. The Mclaren team needed to gain some points since Bilbo could not join us on the track.

By the end of the race my car was shot. I had hit the wall one too many times and it was driving sideways. Thanks to the leaders for lapping me a few times. The car would not have lasted another lap (and my ass started to hurt). My hats off to you sirs!

See you next week at Silverstone in solid form I hope.

HI Guys,

CONGRATS to CARRERA on a BEAUTIFUL drive in MONACO.
and also to the guys who finished.

I want to apollogize to AARON for the small incident at T1 at the start. I was amazed that I started 3rd on the grid (first time this season) was way to nervous, GREEN LIGHT>>>GOOOOOOOOOOO I saw HITMAN got a great start and once the smoke cleared I was on the throttle hard approaching T1 HITMAN backed off but me (like a nut) braked a little late, I thought I held pretty good but slid into the back of ARRON thankfully everyone was able to continue.(I will take my punishment with pride)

My race was going pretty good till the fast guys started knocking on my door and I wasn't able to calm myself so as usual ended up in the barrior lost my front wing.
After my pit stop found myself demoted to 9th started to push as hard as I could but for some reason the car just didn't have the grip it did during practice session and ended up in the barriors once again doing more damage than the first one and there was no way I could continue.

WHAT A FINE DRIVE by you top finishers....WELL DONE!!
FORZA FERRARI !!

TheGrumble, you really should look into those network problems because I came THIS close to kicking you out of the race when I saw (remember I played spectator and had the privilege of seeing everything LIVE) how hard it was for the others to cope with your irregular lag. Even Kaali, playing from Greenland with >400ms ping, never lagged so bad as his lag was steady and you knew that what you saw was always half a second late and could deal accordingly. Your lag was very bad, always present but irregular, with driving through fences, severe warping and everything. You really must look into that because you were a danger to the other drivers around you.

Other than that, very nice race by everyone as there was a very good number of finishers compared to a year or two when only Steve was left at the end (if I remember correctly). It was very hard for me to watch this race from the grandstands but it was much more interesting than this year's real Monaco race on TV.

I was not aware of the lag until it was mentioned on this thread. I thought I made that clear in my earlier posting. I think next time you should bounce players off the server if their are causing problems. I'm sure each of us would understand and do what is needed to fix the issue. If my equipment is not up to snuff, well then see you when it is fixed. As the admin you can do what you want.

Sorry to those who I may have affected their race. It was not intentional but next time say something!

Well, usually your connection is not that bad and you were pinging 125-150 before the race, which should not have been problematic (you were the worst but 150 is usually barely perceptible). If the other drivers had not been able to cope with your lag, I would have ejected you from the server but ultimately everyone managed to get around (I think) and you still managed to have a good race.

What I meant was that in your previous message, you kinda implied there was something you could do about those network issues. What I'm saying is do not hesitate to take action because if it stays like this Sunday, it's not acceptable. We'll all be happy to help as much as we can if you need help.

I haven't looked at the race replay yet but I'm quite sure it'll show you warping around...

Hehe, np grumble, i saw you lag, and tried to keep distance. I found that you lag a 2-3 precise place around the track, so i adjust to those place and wait a good occasion to push hard on you to pass. But dont take it too personaly, it not like if it was done on purpose... Cya at Sylverstone.

I apologize if I implied in my first post that I knew something was wrong. The only indication I had was a single lost connection during qualifing. That could have been anything like the server going away or crashing. When it comes to lag, the only indication I can actually visualize is other cars disappearing and reappearing. That is a good indication that something is wrong with you local connection. However, that did not happen during qualifing or during the race. I could see everyone so I assumed everything was fine.

I am not questioning the fact that my connection was bad but there was no way for me to know without someone saying so. Now I know and I plan to have the issue resolved for the next race.

I did not want to imply you knew about it during the race or anything like that; I don't think I threw any blame (my apologies if I sounded like I did). You just said yourself that you had network issues and that did not seem like a surprise. Just please do whatever you can to fix or diminish(sp?) the issue for future races (unless it's just something temporary like the net being slow in your area due to extreme weather or a failure at your ISP, for example).

As I said earlier, you looked okay in the other races (even in practice and qual before the race), so it's not like there's no hope or that we want to kick you out (quite the opposite) or anything. ..

Oh, and please have a look at the replay from the server (link somewhere above), you'll see I'm not telling about this just for fun and what the situation was like from the other drivers' perspective. It's not like we're "against" you, rather we'd like to help you so you can continue to race with us. I do not mean to sound threatening, it's more to advise you there is a problem and to please act on it if you can, that's all...
