Hellooo...

Post by Craig Cookson »

I've driven in NAR practice sessions quite a lot recently (and previously with F1 Challenge) but I had never actually registered on the forum before.

I finally registered today so I just thought I'd post a thread to say hi.

It means a lot that you let me practice with you - no aid sessions are easily the most enjoyable, so thank you for letting me drive in them.

I wish I could join the league properly but I don't have free time on the weekends and I know I'd have to miss most of the races. :(

Anyway, it's a lot of fun practicing with other experienced drivers and I look forward to seeing you on track soon. :)

Craig.

I'm sure some of our European members are relieved that you can't do the races...

<groupie voice> BTW, your F1Challenge Driving Guide helped me a lot with some of the driving techniques a few years ago (although I still have a lot to learn!) </groupie voice>

Thank you for the replies and also the comment about my driving guide. :)

I think a lot of the F1 Challenge driving techniques still apply to rFactor, although rFactor does have some differences. At first I thought rFactor was a much easier sim, but the F1 Champions mod has gotten it much closer to F1 Challenge (in terms of needing good throttle control) and now I think they are both just as hard as each other when it comes to driving on the limit.

Ruben - I do drive a lot online but I think we must be driving at different times so we never see each other. :( I still hope to drive with you again soon though.

Sirsmokealot - I do use the black Momo, but my setup is pretty basic (close to default stuff). I have 50% sensitivity for both pedals and steering, 0% deadzones, and 0% Speed Sensitivity. I haven't adjusted the head movement things much either - I just used most of the same settings as I did in F1 Challenge.

It's nice to see you all again.
