TY Steve. I owe part of this victory to Flow for his discussion about the "Decel. Diff" setup. That fixed my biggest problem at this track and gave me the consistency I was still looking for only 24h ago. Otherwise, SteveB and Juan would have run rings around me (judging from practice times).

Overall, it was an almost "easy" race. I qualified 2nd, which I did not really expect (again, from earlier practice sessions, I expected to place 3rd or 4th). At the start of the race, SteveB spun at T1, handing me the lead for the remains of the race. As it turns out, Juan did not make it out of the turn alive, making it one less worry for my victory...

Soon enough, I managed to put some time in front of Xz (2nd at the time) but looking at the TV timings, I saw SteveB was still racing strong. I was relieved when I heard Ferrari pitting around lap 15 because that meant he was probably on 3 stops while I was only on 2 (thanks again to Flow for the diff setting which allowed me to go for 2 stops instead of 3). At this time, I knew that even if someone was on a single-stopper, I was fast enough for the win if I did not do too many mistakes. Fortunately (and actually, unexpectedly at this track), I did not do many. I only made 2 spins (due to downshifting "one gear too much") that (only) cost me about 5 seconds each and some other little mistakes that did not affect anything.

That wraps up nicely a very good season. I'm eager for next season after a little break now... 8)

my race

Post by XZWINS »

not a bad race for me !!! but i could have done better with more pratice. I am proud of my result because i did aprox 100 laps of training, i did not pratice that mush because of my knee, and i saw i could have done better because i improve my lap time during the race.
Congraluation to bilbo who drive a almost perfect race (also as the season) and i had to battle with steve b. who win the battle :( ... good job steve.

Hope to found all of you next season
wait for me!!!!

Hi Guys,

WOW!!!! very good race by ALL drivers.

My QUALIFYING lap was great till the last chicane when my foot decided to take a siesta.....lol so I lost a bit of time but I was happy with my lap.

I was surprised that BILBO didn't take P1.

The start of the race I was thinking so much of someone hitting me or cutting me off that I went to deep into the braking zone and had a little spin (thanks to Bilbo for bumping into me and straightening out my car) or else it would have been a big spin, My back end just let go.

My usual last minute second guessing made me reduce the DIFF DECEL to 35% (dumb move)

I had a couple of battles with XZ and Steve (sorry guys if SATO made an appearance) lmao.

GREAT race from Stave and XZ considering they didn't do that many laps there in practice.....well done guys.

After my first pitstop my car wasn't right and felt very loose, but a few laps later it seemed to come back into form and was able to attack a little bit harder but Bilbo was way to far ahead and my 3 stopper was a HUGE mistake. :(

CONGRATS to BILBO well done my friend...

Guys I had a BLAST racing and practicing with ALL of you. I think all of you are a great bunch of guys and I can hardly wait to get in a FULL season with NAR.

I hope that a season start date and MOD will be reached soon so we can do some winter testing.

C U in the forum...

Thanks to ALL for an AMAZING 1/2 season...

I told you I had "wasted" that 21.1 during the pre-qualification practice...

Actually, I think I lost some time by slipping a bit at the chicane before that long kinky back straight...

I second that. Thanks to everyone for being part of it and making NAR what it is. 8)
