Just in case you haven't thought about it: if your video card has TV out, you could play on a TV (it would probably be ugly but it would work)...

I thought that i have to tell the computer to switch to the Tv line. I didnt knew i coud just plug it and it woud automaticaly work on it... for tonight i have one from my work place, and il bring it back for the weekend. il take the time to send mine for repair, and if too expensive, il buy a new one, witch im preparing myself for. Im saving a little.

I can give you one advise,... get a belinea monitor those things are rock solid. Mine old one (backup) im using now is from "98

What kind of monitor you using,?? is it a tft,... if so a common problem with those thingy's is that the TL light usualy brakes. But you say it says no signal that means thats not the case then.

You can enter the menu for adjustments, that means it doesnt hit the securicy mode (guess its the wrong name for ) anyway this means the power suply and highvoltage circuit should be ok then. Otherwise it shouldnt say no signal on screen,....

To me this sounds a bit like that there is a problem on the main board or something with the cable mayby.

Ill shall ask this monday at mine work, there some people with more experience then me with monitors,... you know i usual only repair dvd players and recorders  thats mine speciality.

Ill let you know.

Mayby you can make it a bit easyer for me if you tell me wich monitor you are using ok.

Ok thanks, its a LG Studioworks E700B.

I opened it and try to replug all visible connection and dont work. Maybe its the little green board at end of Tube in a aluminium case, some circuit can be disconected with the heat...

I have asked it at work and they guy i talked to says that its higly likely that one of youre controller IC on the mainboard is broken.

He suggested to bring it to a workshop.

I forgotten the name when i last posted, but i just rememberd it again.

There is something wrong with youre blanking signal horizontal and vertical, thats controlled by one of the controller IC's.
