Hi Guys,
Well for me I had to rush back from the cottage got back just in time(thanks to you guys for waiting for me) My Qualifying lap wasn't my best but good enough under the circumstances....lol
During the Qualifying session I was getting my RACE setup ready(didn't have it ready yet)DUM ASS!!!!! lol so I rushed to set it up but forgetting to raise my rad.
My start from 4th was great I managed to get up to 2nd and comming to the first chicane BILBO ran wide and he slowed so I was able to pass him at that point.
I was in the lead for a bit till I spun going into that same chicane and I saw Bilbo comming so I put it in reverse to avoid him and bumped into the guardrail loosing my rear wing.
Got back to the pits to repair only to find myself 33 sec behind titoff.
On lap 18 I managed to close the gap to 5 sec and then BOOOOOM my engine blewup.
And that is that.
C U in ITALY.

After qualifying first (which I did not expect given the time I saw in practice this week), I managed to stay in front for the first few turns, until I screw up at the chicane and have to cut the last (red) part of it. Since SteveB was in my ass, I figure I can't stay in front as the cutting "helped me" keep my position. So I slow to let him pass but in so doing, I may involuntarily caused some problems in the back, this being lap 1 and people presumably being close to each other. I apologize for any incident I could have caused.
So, with SteveB in front, I manage to keep the interval at around 3 seconds, until I see SteveB spin in front of me (insert flashback from France here). Free P1, anyone?
After that, I was already 30 seconds in front of Titoff who was trading places with Xz. I must have been at least 1 second faster per lap, so all I had to do was bring the car home for a nice win, even if somebody was on a 1-stopper.
With 4-5 laps to go in the race, comfortably 5 laps in front of Titoff, I realize I'm missing one lap of fuel to make it to the end. So I start short shifting to save fuel and on what should have been the next-to-last lap, I decide to use neutral on the long straight. After nearly losing control when re-engaging gears at the end of the straight, I continue short shifting through the next few turns and re-use neutral on the back straight. Out of habit, I downshift while braking at the end of the straight but since I was already in neutral, I got down to reverse, spun and, so surprised was I to see that R indicator on the wheel, stalled the engine with 1 lap and 2 turns to go...
About a lap later, Titoff, who had taken one of his five laps back after my retirement, stalls too and retires.
So, actually NOBODY finished this race, which I think is a first in NAR! Since 2 drivers completed over 90% of the distance, I and Titoff will get points (unless somebody shows me otherwise).
So, big BOOOs to everyone for not finishing!
But congrats to Titoff for lasting long enought to get to the points!

Sorry to all for missing race
My apologies to all Div. 2 drivers, I was away at a wedding this weekend and thought i would be back in time for the race tonight. Obviously i was not and I had no computer at my disposal to post notice of my absence. I can say i will be there for Italy no excuses. Unfortunate that no one finished.
Cheers Paul
