Rfactor delima

I am not yet a member of the NAR ...But I hope to be very soon so I feel the need to voice my humble opinion for what its worth.
I have purchaced Rfactor and it simply won't run on my pc so I guess
I am out of luck since this pc is only a year old and I can't go out and get another one simply based on this game.So I am faced with the option
of either not racing this next season or joining another club.
Ok... I don't want to join any other club so I thought of another idea
maybe there are others that have pc's that won't run Rfactor and if so
would you all entertain the idea of continuing to run this F1c championship
as well as expanding to Rfactor so some of us don't get left behind?

what you buy a game, it wont play and thats it, come on man, give us a clue, iv got a high spec pc, and can i get rF to run nice, can i..........
so dont give up so easily man... whats it doin......

Ok, if you have so recent computer, why cant the game run on it. I woud suggest you to sent an email to rfator and give your computer info and problem, im shure they will be please to help you or some NAR memebr here coud help you out also.

For the mod, up to now, as its already said, we dont know on what we will run. The point is we need better than F1C, and we HOPE we will run on rfactor, cause it the perfect solution to our lag problem.

The 2006 mod will be choose only at end of season. So you have time to correct your problem with your computer. But contact rfactor, they coud solve your problem. Maybe its only graphic or whatever.

Also we will probably please to see race with us, but before we will have to run few practice session with you, to see how you react on track. I was personaly playing F1C since 6 month before i heard of NAR, then i practice for 2 moth before joining the league to bet enought safe to other driver.

So get your ass (car) on track online and practice with us

Im looking forword to help you if you need when youl be ready to run online, but up to now, we cant realy help you, unless you do what is needed.

Hope that your problem will be fixed and youl be able to have fun with us!

I need exact informations then we search for a solution if we do not find any way to solve the problem ourself I will write to isi ... they answer my mails ... (please understand they get to much mails at the moment to answer every stuff ... to much needless stuff that takes their time).

lo meo, hows the new house?
are you aware of the stuttering problem thats being reported, are isi aware of it, im sure they are.... but iv got it, iv reduced it slightly by using 16bit colour, but its not good, its not a vid card problem , cause kids with super cards are reporting it, anyways, if ya get any news let us know,

Whenever there is a problem, upgrade to the latest official drivers for all your hardware (gfx, sound, chipset, network, BIOS, ...). If that doesn't work then search the Internet for others with the same problem. If that doesn't work then get in touch with the support department for whatever it is you are having problems with. In the case of rFactor there's a technical support forum at RSC that is monitored by ISI.

Ok..I don't give up easily I purchaced the game and it justs crashes every time i launch it ,I have contacted Rfactor and talked with their
people and they think its a hardware conflict and GAVE UP! and refunded my money.I have also spent many hours with friends of mine working on this problem and all came to the same conclushion and that was to try another video card...But that is what i might have to do it may or may not work.
I have had one hell of a time finding F1 Challenge to purchace.Steve
B has helped me with this problem and I really owe him big for it.
F1 Challenge is not yet installed on my pc because i don't have it yet.
Maybe it would be in the mail tommorrow? Last night I found a copy for sale in australia so I purchaced that just in case I need a backup.
But this is the reason I have not been in the practice server.
But I have been practicing on f12002 with the old mod so I can
get at least some practice in using no aids which is comeing along nicely
and I have been having alot of fun also.
So as soon as I get F1 Challenge and the mods installed on my pc
you can bet I will have my ass on the practice server.
And Dan the man thanks for weighing in....I have already tried all of the things you mentioned I think the vc needs to be upgraded.

yo chimp, have you tried setting rfactor to dx8, or dx7 in the config utility?, that has helped some folks, only stuttering i have is just after starting up the game, after a few laps it seems to go away for me, i have everything maxed except shadows on high, and special effects on medium, and it runs great on my PC in DX 9, but then i have a pretty nice card, hehe, getting around 100 fps with the in car view most of the time. the GTL demo is a whole nother story, seems to really be a resource hog, i only get about 60 fps with the same basic settings as rfactor

I have not seen any Sturring at all on my PC from RF.

But now I might be wrong but if Rfactor wont run on your PC you might have the same problem with F1C.
Is'int Rfactor a easyier game to run the F1C as far as resourses and all that stuff.

Have you tried a new install.
When you did install it did it reconize your grafics card and did you run it thru its test. and did it accept (In other words) did it say you can run on full grafics or what.

What grafics card do you have

It did pass the grafics test.....Athlon xp 2.08 gig 1024 ram geforce 5900fx

Well your system should run RF and F1C
Although I do remember that there was a problem with the driver on the FX card although this problem was with F1c since RF was not even thought of yet.

Some guys were getting CTD and others had a problem view the car, they could only see pieces of it.

I think I would start there
Update your driver og to Nivida and update it if I remember right you want the Edited 56.64 http://www.nvidia.com/page/home.html or higher I think if you update to the newest driver you will be fine.
Anything above the 56.64

I will search a little and see if I can find out more.
Also what is your Operating system.
