TY Motorhead.

For my race it was FANTASTIC!!!
I had 1 spin early on in the race and Steve closed the gap to 3 sec. I managed to stay calm this time lol, gathered it back up didn't rush anything and got back on track.
At that point I thought I was going to have a nice battle with Steve but it didn't happen, I started to pull away and never looked back.

I would like to thank PAUL, QUEBEC-MIKE and TITOFF for respecting the blue flags, they moved over the first chance they had and let me go.

Sorry to hear what happened to BILBO i thought we too would have some battles, hopefully in HUNGARY....
I don't know what happened to XZ , I think he spun with 5 laps to go and I passed him going onto the front straight.

CONGRATS to XZ for taking over the championship lead very close now.

Also CONGRATS to all who finished and to PAUL for lasting more laps than I did my first race in FRANCE LOL

See you in HUNGARY!!!!

Steve B :D :D

Well my first ever NAR race is done and all things considered I had a great time.
I did poorly in qualifications, I was more concerned with spinning than with speed.
At race start I was behind Titoff, when the lights went out I let go of launch control and started moving, unfortunately Titoff was not moving and I had to let off and swerve to avoid a collision. I got on the throttle too hard and spun just in front of him and had a small collision, no damage.

Titoff, I apologize for in any way screwing up your race.

I'm not sure if there was lag, or I was too quick on the launch at any rate it was unintentional and unfortunate.

I got underway and made it through one pit stop; on lap 18, I slowed at the hairpin to allow XZ and Steve to pass me and stalled the damn car.

Oh well I enjoyed watching the rest of the race from everyone elses cockpit. LOL

Congratulations to Steve B on his first win and to XZ for taking the points lead. Thanks to Bilbo for your encourageing words post race.

I need lots of practice for Hungary, it's like driving the Budwieser crown.

Cheers

TY Hitman, Paul, AARON

It was fun, but I found that leading a race there is alot of pressure, just to keep the car on track and to stay focused.....lol

I experienced that TUNNEL VISION I was told about when I joined NAR and man WHAT A FEELING that was....hehehehe

Around lap 55 I lost my concentration a couple of times and ran wide at T5 but shook my head and got on with it.

I was on a 3 stop strategy and to be honest all the while I was thinking I made the wrong choice but it worked out great!!!!

For some reason I got the same amount of fuel at all pitstops and that is not the way I set them, around lap 50 I had to short shift to save fuel or else I would have run out with only a few turns to go,when I crossed the line this was the fuel.....2/0 how close was that....lol.....whewwwwwwww

Well, that's 2l too much weighing you down!

I found that if you change your pitstop settings through the LCD screen, those settings override what you had planned in your setup screen and what is shown on the LCD will be what is used for all following pitstops. Also, you have to be careful as the fuel/lap calculation is kinda off at some tracks, you really have to practice those race setups to know how long you can run with a given amount of fuel.

Congrats to SteveB for his win, to Xzwins for now leading the div2 championship, to Steve for not hitting the pit entrance and to Quebec-Mike for his finish.

My race in germany

Post by XZWINS »

I qualified in fourth position in the middle of the grid (hate that, too mush thing can happen). My start was fair but not mush, i did not have opposition from the back because of titoff miss his start ( i guess he did'nt use the launch control button)
In the firsts few laps we were a good group me, steve and juan leading our pack (Mr. B as decided to race alone 8) ... he inscrease the gap very fast) but unfortunatly juan push too hard on throttle at the hair pin. Soon has juan wasn't there steve get away from me :( and bilbo was getting on me :? but he went out in the last corner ( i hope its not my fault bilbo we did not get very very close but i lock a bit my wheels and maybe it distract you... if so i am very sorry  )
And for the first time i saw the ferrari of Mr. B who was getting out of is first pit stop. Dam we got someone fast here ... congraluation Mr. b (i call you Mr. B to avoid any confusion with steve and steve b) you were untouchable here.   Are we gonna to assist to a supremassi of the ferrari :)
unfourtunatly steve broke his rear wing, and a pass him by the time he was in the pit. Its very sad because you were FAST steve wow, what did you eat that day!!!
In the lasts laps i was fighting to not be one lap behind and i did a stupid spin in the last corner, thank god i didn't broke ... but the ferrari pass me. :(

I check the replay and i saw some good clean fight between mike and bilbo. mike and titoff (titoff was victim of is cold tires he spoun and stalled after his pit stop).

Mike glad to know that ur lag problem is solve :)

So happy of my result of finishing second but happier to be in first place in div2, i know i wont have that tittle for long but i will work to keep it as long as i could. (no offence bilbo  )

Congratulation once again Mr. B

See you all in hungary, hope the grid will be full has germany. the races are becoming very interesting :D
wait for me!!!!

Yes at barhein, i change my pit strategy and went out with twice amount of fuel, decide to go anyway and went empty 100meter before finish line. If i coud i woud step out of car and push it to finish line, hahaha.

Congratulation to the winner! nice job, keep up. 8)

Finally, a word about my race: after a spectacular but aborted qualifying run where I had no hope of catching SteveB, I started dead last. At the start, after witnessing the incident between Paul/RR and Titoff, I went looking at Mike's behind. After a few tries, I managed to get past Mike and catch up on Xzwins. Just as I was reaching him, I missed my turn-in point and went wide in the last turn, spinning myself but with not much consequence except lost time. None of your fault, Xz.

Going on after that incident, I was pushing to get back to Xz but, on lap 12, accelerated too hard out of T2 and the car slid back to the guard rail, breaking the rear wing. After going all the way back to my pits (insert flashbacks from Silverstone here) and waiting for my team to change that #!@#$ rear wing, my race was mostly one of survival as I was probably 2 laps down already when I finally came out of the pits. Since I was on a 3-stops strategy, I didn't want to make it 4 stops, so I filled the tank with 30 laps worth of fuel, which I had never practiced but I figured I could always decide to go 4-stops if the tyres did not hold. So, I spent most of the race doing high 19-18s with a heavy car instead of low 18-17s with my normal setup. Surprisingly, the tyres held up quite well and got me to my last stop, when I took on 25 laps of fuel to reach the end.

Since Xz was running 3rd and I was 4th, I figured the championship would be tied after that race which, while not what I had wished, was still good in the circumstances. But Steve decided to ditch a wing near the end and let Xz pass, giving the championship-leading point to Xz...

And all this just as we're going to Hungary, probably the track I hate most of all, a race of survival right from the start. At least, the races after Hungary are most of my favorites and, hopefully, the championship won't be decided before the last race!

Congrats again in particular to SteveB for his first NAR win and to Xz for leading the championship. Honorable mention to Mike for reaching the end of the race and moving over when blue flagged.
