For tonight, it was a nice quiet race. For the 1st part i had Motorhead in my ass so i decide to let him pass cause i know him realy faster than me, so i didnt want to make a gap for him and Brad, who was his best oponent. Then i realized that i had Bilbo clocking same pace as me, for the 1st quater of race i was checking chrono eatch corner, then i saw that he was on 3 pit and me on 2, so i was in safe condition for the 3rd... untill we lost Motorhead, then the 2nd place was in the pocket,... that what i tougt. I almost screw that, made a bad shift sequence, spin and lost front wing, at lap 68, Bilbo was 60 sec behind, i pit and instead of only repair, i went out 5 lap before end with 4 new tire and 25 laps fuel  but i went safe to end with 30 in front of Bilbo...who was anyway in div2, hehe.

Other than that, i was prety lonely, sunday driving...

Hello All
Congrates to all and Brad nice race you where flying.

The start sucked I got nailed 3 times before I could even blinked losing my rear wing and more. right out of the gate I was a lap down.

We keep saying be carfull at the Start and be carfull and the first turn but Fuck I don't think we are listening. Sorry for being a asshole right now but I practice and work very hard to get to race and It sucks to be nailed like this come race day.

Ok I feel better now

after that I pushed as hard as I could making some mistakes a long the way that cost me. I was glad to race and finish.

Cu guys in a month or so
Hitman 8)

Hehe Hitman, i was in front of you, happy too, seeing what happend, lol. I have a question for you, do you use LC, cause its mandatory and on replay you seem not to use it of you just screw you LC start if you use it. Your today accident is due to your spinning at start (well seem to...) just make shure cause on LC, you cant loose control like that. Anyway i already screw one by mistake, driver in front didnt start, and i lift up gaz and then LC was off and bye, bye i was in grass...

congrats to all who finished.

specialy to brad Image

damn motor I know how you feel now! I got my wheel to work but have to wait now if my race will count cuz I lost connection (wtf ... would be my 1st dnf if it counts not ... well I have to wait in this ... and its horrible to wait). I will try to get more informations about the PRO V9. The repaired wheel seams to do now but still not as sensible as I would like it ... will have to do some tests with it over summer brake.

... have a nice summer brake all! I hope to see the one or other soon :)

 meo
I'll fly till I'm burned! BURN BABY BURN! lol lool loool looool loooool loool looool loooool loooooo...

finaly!! i vowed before the race, in fact, while i was changing the tire that made me late, that no matter if i was down to no wings, one wheel, and 2 cylinders, i was going to finish this damn race! it was a tough choice on pits strategy, i knew i could do a 1 stop, but i was thinking that maybe thats why i have not finished a race, so wasnt sure. in the end, i went one stop. hitman=i watched the replay, that sucks what happend on the grid. it did kinda look like you started with lc, but lifted right at first because of car infront start a little late, but its hard to tell. also sucked for motorhead, spin then stall, he was catching me up quick in those first 10 laps, he took almost 2 seconds off me in one lap. were you on 2 stop? man i hope so, if on 1, i woulda been screwed! yea, it was a quiet race, the first 10 laps were pretty tough, started with 40laps fuel, and the car just didnt want to turn. finaly burned off enough, got into a good rythem, and just tried to keep pumping out laps. i actually did the fastest lap on the last lap, didnt really mean to, 6 laps from end, i started to get sloppy, and i decided to push to make sure i was paying attention. great race for all that finished (7!!!) thats awesome. everyone was great about the blue flags, there were a couple of close calls, but those were my fault(sorry steve, mike)

That race was relatively uneventful for me. I was on a 3-stop strategy because I knew that my setup was very hard on tyres if driven aggressively and losing a single wing due to a spin costs more than the extra pit stop so there's the mathematical explanation.

I spent most of the race monitoring the interval with the guy in front and the guy behind. I had some fun trying to first keep then later try to close the interval with Flow, same thing with Hitman whom I did not know had an accident at the start and had me wondering why I could run comparable laps to him for some time (not counting the different strategies).

From what little I saw when not surrounded by div1 guys, I should be safe with my pit strategy on the div2 side as I was faster than Xzwins (my main championship worry before the race  ) and Steve. Merc may have been harder to deal with in the long term but we'll never know. Unless someone in div2 was going for a 1-pit strategy, I was feeling safe with my 3-pit choice.

I lost almost a minute in 3 spins which cost me a lot of time as there were always people near or coming as I was either trying to right myself or getting back to the track and I did not want to cause any accident. I also had a close call with Steve in T10 I think but he managed to get out of the way just in time.

I'm sorry for Titoff who asked for a restart due to lag after the start but I couldn't restart the race with only one person complaining of lag. If he had been joined by anyone, then I would have aborted the race and either we would have restarted or run split races as usual, because we were running a "merged" race.

Congrats to all who finished and especially to Brad for his victorious finish! 8)

Im very happy for you Brad that finally you got your first win in NAR and also it's about time you finished a race without DNF, good job Brad and that goes for everyone also :). At last DNF for me today, the last time I DNF in a race was last year coming from Champ Car Long Beach gp all drunk. Unfortunately today was different I made mistake that I did the best to keep the car from not stalling but oh well Im not going to think about it anymore, it's time to moved on and start thinking positive for the next races coming up.

Well

Post by Ruben Miranda »

Hello
Well I do use LC (Launch Controll) as per the rules.

For me it went like this
Lights go out I take off I see Motor is not moving I back off the throttle (Or hit Motor) just as I do I get rear wheel spin just as I back off the throttle even more I feel a bump at my back end I get sideways just then I see a renault (I beleave) at my left comming at me before I could do anything he bumps me to the right and I get nailed by the Jordan getting fliped and landing upside down. I am surprised I just got the damage I ended up with. It could have been much worse.

I am calmer today so I can just say its raceing and cu on track next time No worrys my feeling is that there is fault on my side just as much on the other. In hiensite I should have just went around Motor (this was my first thought) and more then likly would have been out of the way. But I secound guessed myself thinlking I would follow Motor out but well as you know that was a bad plan.

Hitman 8)

Hehe, I believe that this "lifting off the throttle with LC engaged" has to happen to each of us sooner or later. If you're lucky, you just spin on the grass on the side of the track, out of the way, but there's not much room to get out of the way at Indy.

This reminds me of the first time I qualified anything other than last or next-to-last. When at the end of the line, I normally wait for the people in front to get out of their box before launching myself (a.k.a. the "let God sort'em all at T1" strategy). In a mid-pack start, I did that exactly ONCE, before I realized the danger I caused to all those behind me who expected me to launch normally. I don't do that anymore unless it is agreed in advance that we ALL do it...

SOrry Hitman for waht happend, i woud wish you make me nervous as usual on nice fight toghetter like almost in all past race, hehe... Glad you came out clean after that 3x out of luck, LC screw, Renault passing realy close up to contact and Jordan full trottle crash in you, hehe, you were still alive, you shoud bought a loto ticket, with that luck! At least you can race to the end, more lonely, but there, the most important.

Cya on next race, after summer!

yo hitman looks like we bumped wheels on the start . i cut a perfect light and i had to do some crazy wheeling at start . bilbo in front of me was slow off the line same as xzswins to my right, i cut between them only to find myself charging up fast on flow . there seemed to be enough room for me to squeeze between you and flow but sorry there was not , we touched wheels sending you to the right where u where smoked by titoff . you probably would have been ok had titoff not got u . i outbraked motor head in to turn 1 and sat in 2nd for a few laps till a off track put me 2 forth was looking at a sure podium till those f'n michelin's failed in turn 13 on lap 22 . sorry man, u should have called for a restart ....... merc 8)
