Yeah ive heard of this guy Steve......but as you know....my guitar "heroes" are not te ones that are most skilled in terms of tecnique (spelling???),,,,,,I like Neil Young, remember....have you seen him play a solo....listen to Like a Hurricane, hehe.

Ferdi.....not buying CDs with the artists you like shows lack of respect IMO. I always buy the albums I want. I can download them at first if it is a new artist that I dont know anything about but is it good music well then I go buy it. But hey...thats just me....

hehe, why buy a cd with 10 to 18 tracks (or more) while you want just one track??? A bit expencive ha? (here a cd is about € 25,=).

If I only want one track then it's because the artist is not able to come up with a good album so he/she's ultimately not worthy of my attention. I don't care at all for single songs, I want (mostly) good albums...

Those kinda bands where there is only one "good" song on the album usually release that song on a few thousand single versions......

I think we need to introduce Ferdi to "real" music where the artists can manage to make a full album with good songs.

ok.....lets go in the classic rock direction....I feel Ferdi is a rock n roll kinda dude, fun to hang with and hard but fair in racing. My first few suggestions would be:

1: AC/DC - Powerage, this album does not contain the biggest hits maybe but it is a very solid album. One of my favourites.
2: Guns N Roses - Appetite for destruction, my big heroes from when I was a kid. This is a super album IMO
3: Iron maiden - The number of the beast, need I say more than "Hallowed be thy name"?!

What do you say Steve? You can probably add some more classic rock albums and try to save Ferdi. Some good old Sabbath or Stones etc

we are on a mission folks....

Yeah Killa I agree, all of the bands you just mentioned are awsome. I recently began listening to Iron Maiden, and both songs you mentioned are awsome.

How could Iron Maiden become part of this discussion without a mention of their overall very best album Piece of Mind and the (literally) eternal Live After Death?!?!?!?!?!?

(Now, TNOTB was a great album, with some of modern metal's best songs ever, but I feel some of the other songs on the album were not of the same great quality). :?

And how could a discussion about rock/metal go without even a mention of Judas Priest ? Huh, huh?

Hahahaha!!!!

I KNEW this would wake up all the old rockers!
I wonder what happened to Ferdi.....perhaps he is busy listening......other posibility is that he's got his neck in a fixed position after head banging into the wall or something.....rock oooon dude!

I have another favourite of mine......W.A.S.P........ok ok ok....I know some of you will tell me "ey, no glam rock shit here"..........but really.....Blackie and his boys really released some awesome albums. If I am to pick one to recomend here it have to be The Headless Children or The Crimson Idol. WOW! Great albums!
