Post by Erick »

I am paying for a 768Kb'sdown/128Kb'sup internet connection. I just went to http://www.pcpitstop.com and back these results!

Download Speed Results:

Download Size 2,000 KB(2 mb's)

Download Time 7578 ms
Receive Buffer 256,960 KB
Transmission Speed 2,111 Kb/s(only should be around 800)

Upload Speed Results:

211-242 (tested a few times)

Just a couple of days ago the site was reading this stuff like this:

780up/126-130down(still better then payed for). Can anyone else go to this site and see if maybe they're site's f'd up right now? This would be awesome if my connection is really running like this. haha, my stupid cable provider did something like this with the TV cable: gave us 50 more channels than what we were paying 1 day out of the blue  I can't complain

oh, and for the download test.....after downloading the 500kbyte in less than 1 second, I had to do the 1mb test.......that clocked my speed at 2,438kb's/sec!!!!!!!!! so.....the test was to small for that speed, so did the 2mb test, and got 2,100kb's/sec. it seems to persistant to be a website flaw.... does anyone know any other sites where you can test this stuff, so I can make a comparison?
