I ordered a new computer today....well....I placed the order at least, a friend helped me pick out the parts for it. Here it is:

I wonder if I will be able to upgrade from 800x600 resolution in rFactor now with graphic detail on low.....

Congrats but tie yourself to something heavy before trying this new PC for the first time otherwise you'll be blown away!

Seriously, you should have no problems at all running rF at max details with this new PC.

I am worth it, my computer is 4 years old and is in the same league as Brads old system he described in the other thread.

A screen shot from in game with my new computer....wuuuhuuu....what a DIFFRENCE! I maxed out everything.......only 1152x854 in resolution cause my damn monitor can only have 60Hz when using higher resolution......perhaps it is tweakable....

nice, Question, how did u activate ure rFactor with new PC, might be usefull for me and others,

You're supposed to have 5 activations so if you only had 1 computer, you should still have 4 left...

Killa, what would be funny would be to have a similar screenshot from your old PC. Also, if you have an LCD monitor, 60Hz is good (it does NOT flicker as on old CRTs).

Hi Guys,

I am having a problem.
I bought a new 500 watt power supply and DVD burner today.
I installed them the PC turns on but hangs at the INTEL screen and just hangs there.

Any ideas of what this could be and how to fix it?

Does it work if the DVD burner is NOT connected (power + data)?

Does it beep?

Are all of your fans properly connected?

I will try disconnecting the DVD burner and see, ALL fans and lights up and running.

edited: I disconnected the DVD burner and same thing is happening.
INTEL screen comes on when PC starts and just hangs there.
I even tried removing the battery and that didn't help either.

Did you set the BIOS so that it's not looking for the DVD?

Problem solved.

Ingo, are you using the correct code for the activation? It is not the serial/key. You are supposed to have an activation code for the game and according to my email (which I got when I bought the game) you get 3 free activation times. So it should work if you still have the activation code Ingo.

Or is your problem diffrent?

I have a problem.
I have bought myself a new computer and have installed rFactor new and brought on patch 1.250.
Now my question: What must I instal everything to be able to driving in the NAR (Mods and Updates)? And in which order I must instal it. Please, also the download links brag.
I have constantly rfm Mismatch.

Lately there were so many new things (BMW Physics etc.). Anyhow I have probably forgotten what or have mixed up.

I had the exact same problem and the solution was that Klaaz sended me his rfactor.rfm file and I replaced mine. He said it was not included in the update and that it should be......can someone confirm this, I don't want to spread out lies....heh....

HaAH!, this was probably the same problem that Mike had when he reinstalled everything, i spent more than 1 hour on phone with him and i sent him a buntch of files, and finaly it work, but i cant say if it was exactly rfactor.rfm file.

I cannot find the version f1champions 1.06a on rfactor central!

Is it right that I must instal it so?:

1. rFactor Version 1.250
2. f1 champions 1.06 Fullversion
3. Patch f1 champions 1.06 a (Or if there is a full version which the patch contain)
4. BMW Physics 07

is it all?
