Here is a good comment from the Admin forum by Drago concerning the many Engine failures:

Take care also that boost add some rpm to your max rpm, so for example if you set max rpm to 19300 but with boost on 8 your higher rpm will be higher than 19300 ( maybe 19400-19500 , can't remember exactly) .

Nothing new to me, i also mentioned this before race start, its all about rpm.

For the ones who have dont understand time scale testing.

Do a race at youre own game, select time scale and select 10 or 15 or 20 laps what you want. What is this meaning, you will simulate a full race distance in the laps you select. So as you select 10 laps you will simulate full race distance in 10 laps. This way you can easyily check if youre settings will last.

If you want you can also put on 2 time tyre wear or more but i dont do that i only do time scale test to see if mine engine will last. Also take note that what i do putting fuell for first stint and do a time scale test it means the same as doing a full race distance without stops, this means that you stress the car even more. If you pass the time scale test this way you for sure will finish the race without engine failure, but dont hit a wall or do long repairs in pit ofcourse that can also cause trouble.

I want to say something, did you know that maximum power is given at a much lower rpm 18000 or something i believe might be a bit higher.

Its all about how you use them.

But is does have a bit of a "slingshot" effect and therefore the power carries out more than the actual rpm at wich the bow goes down again.

So +/- 18300 RPM seem to be the max we can get out of its, let say, +/- 875-900 hp
