No Aids Racing

I am just curious why a league that claims no aids uses the most common of aids- reduced damage?

In the past it has been due to lag hits. F1 Challenge and F1 2002 was not perfect in terms of multiplayer support.....to say the least ......



With 60% or what we are using nowadays it is still very easy to get the car all danged up. It don't take much the lose a wing or bend the suspension.

I don't think we concider the 60% damage to be a driving aid, at least I don't. Please explain what you mean. We don't allow dirty or unfair driving so there is no way to profit from the relatively "low" % damage.

Damage is only on contact. Since its not easy to get a full grid with no contact, and NAR is not a league that have only the fastest driver on track. At least, you need to follow a good pace, and be fair, gentleman on track, for shure if your too slow, we will wait untill you get more practice.

Drive an F1 with no aids at all is a good chalenge in a 100% lenght race. So keep the damage at 60%, just gives the one that make more mistake a chance to stay untill the finish line. A single slight contact make you loose wing at 100%, and with less, then it like giving you a second chance if you touch the ass of another driver.

This % never been discuss since we move to rfactor, and anyway, it only affect contact between driver or wall.

Most common maybe.. but barely noticable.
Active aids are disallowed.
Damage is a passive aid.
Instead of getting completely killed by a mistake your race is just ruined alot.

@ 100% damage no one would ever finish a race or you would have to drive alot slower to stay on track and away from trouble and how boring would that be.....sheeeeeeeeeshhhhhhh!!!!

You have to push hard to be competative and at the same time be able to control the car with NO AIDS......WOOOOO HOOOOOOOO now thats racing
