Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone is interested in a few races in january february with the f1 1979 demo mod??

Last weeks i got hooked up with this mod and driving the bathurst track trying to get in a lap under 2 minutes wich in first instance seemed imposible to me,.. (watch the vid)

Yeah limps mod is great :D although the physiks at the moment i dont realy like it yet, its different again guess i have to do some more laps with it :D

Anyway about those 79 races, i was thinking of doing 2 tracks with an sprint and feature race. so 4 races in total something like the a1gp format.

Would be realy interesting to have 20 cars screaming around the track

Monoco 79

Post by Ruben Miranda »

Hello
Hey Mark
Have you did any laps @ Monoco79 yet Amazing and very diffulcult.
Well at least for me.
That straight shot out of the tunnel is just a blast.
If the phisics here are any where close to what they where back then I can ses how hard these cars where to race. one small mistakes like shiffting to soon or to hard in a corner and you are sideways.
Right now I am finding this mod a lot more challengeing then the 05 might be setup and that I just have not done enough laps but it is a blast from the past

By the way where did you get the tracks in the vid
and also can you post a setup or two would like to see and learn on what you are doing and how the setups go with these beasts.

Yes I have tried the 06 and I do find it Challengeing and a great mod.
But the 79 is a whloe diffrent animal (IMHO)
Try it there is no way you can drive this the way you drive the 05 or the 06.
Example with the 05 you can down shift in to a turn hard and control it try that with this mod hehehehehe can you say ouch that wall hurts!!!!
