Alonso to McLaren......or not?

Silly season is starting (or is it always silly in F1  ) my friends.

I think Alonso might need our help to decide if he should try to stay in Renault or if he is to obey his contract with McLaren.

I vote for McLaren. It really doesn't matter if Räikkönen stays or not but McLaren needs a driver like Alonso. Not that Räikkönen is bad but I wouldn't be surprised if he starts in another team beginning from 2007 season.
It's not hard, when you know how......

Yeah.....would be cool though to see these two guys fighting for it on equal terms.....to really get "proof" of who is the better driver. I for one am not convinced that Alonso is a better driver than Kimi.....would be interesting to see. I hope it happens......

I might have voted "wrong" though.....I think that Alonso might break the contract if he can.....but I still voted McLaren only because I want to see Kimi and Alonso in the same team! 8)

My money is on McLaren.
It is time for Alonzo to move on to the big team and prove he can develope the car to a dominant era.
This will be the Benneton - Ferrarri - Schumacher saga allover.

I bet he goes to McLaren no matter what. Everyone would look like such fools if the deal, announced a year in advance to generalized displeasure, ended up not to be...

Hello
Well when I first heard Alonso was going to McLaren I thought why.
Renault has a
Great Team
Great Car
Great Boss
And they are still worling on making all things even better.
But the future of Renualt as a whole is still up in the air as they do not know if they will be around for 2008 I think they are sure of 2007 but I don't know if they actully signed the paper work.
So I can understand why Alonso is making this move.
A bigger tean that he can help devolope in to a better team.
I think he has great talent and we have not seen it all yet.

I think it would be a mistake for Kimi to leave unless he gets a Ferrari ride
although I do not think he could handle being 2nd driver to MS.

If McLaren lets a stable car and has Kimi and Alonso on the team they are going to give Ferrari and Renualt a run for there Money.

If I remember correctly
It was a combination of money and the owner retiring or something around those lines.
I do remember that Fisacela was also going to leave but could not get a ride so he is taking a chance (Not that he has a choice) and staying for what be the final season.
