These are the same files as Limpindog posted earlier. NAR will from now on use these until further notice.
Here is what Limpindog wrote in the original thread:
hi all
ive been making some change to the files because there was a few bugs that needed to be looked into
some stuff i cant fix untill isi release the new update but some stuff i could
so ive got these 3 files to try out .
F1C.hdv
F1C. suspm
F1C. engine
back up those 3 files in f1 champions folder before you replace then
Rfactor/Gamedate/Vehicles/F1_champions
and also when you run a server put a 1.05 test in name so people dont get confused
the brakes will now work even better they have been fixed with some help from another . engine it will now not keep smoking for 2 laps it will blow up if it on limit
front ride height and bumprange settings changed to try stop the bugs

i didnt check(no euro server online) but the psycics should be the same.
Its just an all in version with the cockpit changes and new steering wheel as far as i know, but its never a bad idea to make backups when you replace any files. simply zip and add a date in the name

Sorry, I just rechecked and they are effectively similar. I must have mistakenly compared with an older version as I had a difference on the HDV.
My apologies for whatever stress this may have caused to anyone. I have updated my post above.

Look into where you installed (presumably your rFactor directory). There is probably something called "New Folder" in it. If it is there, take ITS CONTENTS ("GameData" and all "unins*" files) and re-copy that to your main rFactor directory (i.e. just take the stuff OUT of "New Folder"). Say YES to overwrite the files.
If in doubt, just (re-)install into a temporary folder (anywhere) and copy the files over to your rFactor directory as mentionned above.
IMO, this installer does not make things any easier that just having a zip file, but then maybe I'm just in a complaining mood so never mind me...

Man I wish I hadn't screwed with this thing. It completely screwed up my install some how. The game runs really slow and sometimes not at all.

Fuck

i hear and see alot of trouble happening that could have been prevented if people just take the afford to actually read "readme"s or follow the instructions from a post. if these readmes or instruktions are not clear because of language and or level of pc skills, just ask for more clear or translated explenation, we all will be very happy to help as far as i know.
From this post i cant see what has gone wrong or what happened, so a fresh install will solve all( i recommend using deafault path for games like rFactor)

I do not mean to contradict you Klaaz, but have you tried the installer? You have to actually install it just to have access to the readme!!! Which just tells you to install the thing to your rFactor directory anyways.
Unless there's something I missed, this installer actually forces the creation of a totally useless "New Folder" directory (and it is actually hurtful since the files you need get installed in it and not at the proper rF directory tree)...

I have a new Idea for an app:
you open any zip with it, it looks up all your rfactor director(y/ies) (in the registry) and lets you choose one if several (otherwise it quietly just picks it) then, before overwriting existing files you have a chance to back them up..
Now this app can also restore backed up files (which it keeps track of in it's own directory).
Naturally it knows what is supposed to go where (within reason), otherwise it nicely asks. it this a track? etc...
and for patches (like a new hdv and a new mas which are in different places of the directory tree than in the zip it should try to locate existing files to find the correct place)...
Ok so on my never implemented todo list is this, the broadcasting rFactor client with web interface) and a telemetry viewer (which actually works and has a with normal gui unlike the one from findthelimit)

I think you mean something like GTRManager (not sure about the name) which did most of what you asked for, but for GTR instead of rFactor...
I haven't heard about something like that coming to rF, but I haven't looked either...

hmm no i didnt try the full packet installer(if i had i wouldnt have done this post) sorry if this sounded offencive, the post i did was more in general. atleast here in Euro, nobody reads and if its goin wrong i am the one they mostly call for help. Not that i dont like to help, but it could save everybody loads of time if they first read the install procedure

Hehe I know that feeling all too well...
In this particular case, it does not look like a "user error" though.

Could someone put up the files to change the steering wheel back? The new one looks nice but too hard to get vital information from. Or tell me what file(s) i need to change.
