Holy smokers.Where do I begin.I started with the wrong race setup.would have been fine for racing but my first gear was too low for the start.I ended up taking out quite a few people. What a nightmare. My apologies to so many of those who got screwed up because of me.I kept it runnin and tried to keep racing after pitstop but it was pullin to the right so I guess my right rear suspension was damaged.Eventually it caught me out. After the second spin(or third)I decided discretion was the better part of valor and kicked out.
Is there a penalty for crashing so many people out in under 500 feet??.Would be deserved I think.SIncerest apologies....carrera.....

bummer carrera, i avoided the mess, but later on lap one, i spun at the fast "s" before the long back straight, unfortunately, Bilbo had spun too, and i got in the gravel, and couldn't avoid him, apologies to Bilbo. No lasting damage for me after that, but my damn neck started killing me on about lap 20, and had a tough time concentrating after that, lol, so decided to call it a day before i took somebody out.

WOW WOW!!!!

Looks like MALAYSIA really got the best of us.

My start was good then I saw carrera spin into the pit wall right infront of me....I had no where to go and went straight into carrera (sorry buddy) I gathered it up and then spun at T1 now in last place got into somewhat of a groove made up a few spots then my spinning fest started. I slammed into the wall sideways and suffered front end suspension damage but was able to press on, I guess that was a mistake and a lesson learned.

My second pit stop when exiting the pits I crossed the pit line (suffering a massive headache) finally called it quits.

CONGRATS to the winner and to all who finished.

Well
First off I false started playing with my clutch, managed not to slam whoever was in front of me.
Race starts.....I made it almost three whole grid spaces before I realized I still had the speed limiter on, turned it off and bam into the wall.
Apparently you need to be at something less than full throttle when you push that button. Limped around to pit and fix wing but turned off pit request just as I reached pit box...therefore no pit crew.

Decided it wasn't my night and exited with my head hanging low. Better luck next race hopefully.

Wow, i still cant beleive i won that race. in fact i was expecting a 2nd or even a 3rd. Winning is a mixt of driving, good mechanics, good strategy, patient and alot of luck!, lol.

1st i start well on 2nd pos. as i entered the T1, i was inside and i tried to let no chance to Brad to make it in front of me, what was not easy. From there i was on 1st position, BUT THIS WAS THE WORST NIGHTMARE RACING EVER, lol get infront of the fastest driver... Brad. That went so hard on my nerve, the 1st 10 laps were so hard to try to even take thiny advantage of Brad. Then i realize that if hes on same lap time of me, then hes 1 less stop strategy of me, i was going for 3, since i had chance to get in front and block Brad, i went on 2. But no way i would done 1. Sudenly i realized Brad was out in garage after middle race, hitman at 30 sec behind in 2nd, so i went safe to end. Too Bad Brad and Merc went out of fuel, you guys were right in my ass for 1st part of race.

Congratulation to all driver who finish, even Mike, my Torro Rosso partner  , cong to you. For DNF Driver? Hope to cya next race.

1) Congrats to all who finished. This was not an easy track.

2) I'm pleased that the server survived until the end of the race. That confirms that the problem was my network card (the frightening part is that it was onboard), which has been replaced last week. I did not want to host at first because I did not have a chance to really test it before the race, but when we started getting lag on Hitman's server, we kinda had no choice (the last fallback being Klaaz's server). Fortunately, all went well but it still means that the NA server situation is more precarious than previously thought...

3) About my race, I managed to qualify 3rd, which I really did not expect. On the start of the race, I managed to stay with Flow and Brad for most of the 1st lap, which I did not expect either. Unfortunately, I went wide outside of T12 and spun my car, hitting the wall sideways and losing wings and bending suspension. While waiting for a chance to get back on the track, Steve hit me while out of control. That probably did not help my car but I think it was already quite bad before that (NP m8 ). I managed to limp back to the pits and try to fix things, but the suspension was badly bent. After few laps of fighting the car and having a few spins, I decided to park the car and start thinking about next race...

dam i guess after a year off i am allowed at least one dumb ass mistake. i had a clean start and after lap 1 had moved to 3rd. diced with brad 2-3 3-2 until my first pit stop on lap 13 when on pit in i ran out off gas . and coasted to a stop short of the fuel hose lol . congrats to all was a fun return to the nar .. merc 8)

im really upset right now. im seriously considering switching teams as my team sucks ass!!! but seriously, i am a little upset about the pit stop. maybe i should have practiced pit stops, i dont know, i only make one so how hard can it be? race went as flow said, i droped to 3rd for a bit, caught up to merc, and he went wide, back into second. about 6.5seconds behind flow, i was able to make up about half of that when he pit on lap 19-20. im going to lap 30, so now its time to fly. put in some really good laps, able to get the gap to about 40 odd seconds to flow. so i come around the last corner on lap 29, fuel light comes on, so far so good. going through lap 30(pit in lap) i never get a signal from the pit that they are ready for me, ive heard others say it pops up a little chat window saying they are ready for you, but ive never done a pit stop, so i didnt worry about it. i pit at end of lap 30, i did miss pit entrance by about 5 feet, went through the grass, got onto pit road, went really slow to try and make up for it, get into pit lane, got the rainbow colors around my pitbox, but i pull in and nothing happens. the entire time im in the pits, my crew is jerking off, not doing shit. finaly flow passes me, i say fuck it and head back out. going down the middle straight, the magical chat window pops up, the pit crew is ready for me to pit! well, at that same moment i ran out of fuel. if i find my crew, im going to kick their ass! but seriously, why would it not give me fuel on a scheduled pit stop? not to happy about it, hope it doesnt sound cocky but i feel that was a race win that slipped away, because of fucking computerized crew!? is it because i missed the pit road? it was very little, and i more than made up for it by going slow before i even get into the pits. if you watch the replay you will see what i mean.

Hehe Brad, we already advise people of watching for PitCrew calling.

You need to call your pit enough in advance. I hit the S key and it says, Pit requested, but it take almost 30 for them to say, Pit Crew ready. No call from you, then they will be Zzzzzz in garage.

You must watch out, i didnt wait for the garage to call me in. I think that the crew is calling you little on too low fuel, so you need to wake them.

In other hand, if any driver dont practice pit strategy, dont practice start, dont be surprise you wont reatch the end. Its a game, but its also working on reality racing, practice is the key.

Watch out next time, what happend to you is realy sad, but you said it, you didnt practice pit, so its in part your fault. Hope you will do fine next race, this race look like yours. But to be honnest, i was expecting you loosing brake neer end, you were too fast,

Hello All
Congrates to Flow and all who Finished.

My Race
Well my Qual was horriable went to deep in to turn 11 could not bring it back went in to the gravel and striaght in to the wall loseing front wing, Decided any time is better then no time so finished the lap. Qualified 12th I think

Then durring warnup my comp decided to reboot all by it self
(That was wierd) So I got back in before race then my peddles needed to be reboot (Its like f...k what else)
So I asked for a few minutes to get things right
And I Thank All for waiting for me Soory again for the delay.

I felt reaaly bad so I asked Bilbo to me at the back of the grid.

Ok here I go I am starting from the back on a very hard track.
I was neves as I could be but I got a great jump Vertully flew up the center and coming out in 5th place at turn one. Dam I was so surprised. I new there was no way I was going to be able to push my car that hard for 56 laps and finish I did make up a couple of positions in to 3rd. I tried to get some time between me and 4th but it was not going that way aftermy first pit stop I was back in 4th. I new then I was to far to even cath up to Brad and Flow but I had a great chance for 3rd so I pushed and took 3rd back and pushed even more to keep it (Still had one more pit to do) Pushing as Hard as I could I got far enough ahead to pit and maintain 3rd. I was good with that backed off and kept a eye on timeing. When Brad (Who unfortunatly has a rep now) Left the game putting me in 2nd still to far from Flow to even give him a challenge I stepped it up a bit (I new Flow would not throw this win away but one can only hope) It was a great race for I am happy with my Finish Even if Brad would not had dropped out I had 3rd in hand so for dead last to 3rd/2nd Dam I feel like KIMI  I really did not have any close racing thats unfortunate I like a good fight.

Cu all in Melbourne

Congrats to Flow and all the finishers! 8)

My race:
I tried a 1 stopper and my race went well (IMHO). Had practiced a little on driving a heavy car. Qualified 4th, had a good start even though I was quite heavy and had a really good pace. Had a great fight with Hitman who was right behind me, went too wide on T12 I believe it was and Hitman passed me. Pitted on lap 29, pitstop went well. Then I was lapped by Brad who was flying as usual. It took a while for Brad to pass me, I took foot off gas pedal since I got blue flag all over the screen, wondered alot why it took that long to pass me, lost ALOT of time behind Hitman (np m8 ) who I was trying to have a pit stop fight with. Then Brad suddenly went out of game and I was really concerned that it was me who took him out 'cos I was not sure if I hit him at the very last corner with my nose. Brad was kinda parked strangely as if he couldn't figure out where the pit entrance was. I lost focus thinking I had hit him and made a mistake at T12-T13, hit the wall and lost my frontwing and bent both front suspensions. Pitted for repairs and new frontwing. My only concern about that crash was that I was afraid of losing my rear wing but that didn't happen. I hate it when I lose rear wing, repairs always take forever and when you finally go out of pits again the car is usually undriveable. Well, went out again barely in front of Juan and car was really hard to drive. Eventually Juan passed me but on lap 42 suspension collapsed and I had to stop the car.

See you at Melbourne.

One neck problem.one headache.one useless pitcrew that was caught sleepin.one t-bone in the fast "s"turn.Hmmm.I am going to have to agree Malaysia was not kind to all.Oh ya.And one botched start off the line.Congrats flow.A good start to the championship for you.Oh and Brad,I use the space bar for pit request.I request 1/4 of the way into the lap. They will be ready by then m8.Lets put this biotch behind us and get ready for next race.I know I won't make that mistake twice...LOL....

Congratulations to those who finished and great race to all that participated.

As I had mentioned before, this has been one of my best finishes to date in an F1 car. It showed my estimations and strategy adjustments work but the car however did not do to well in the first long stint. I will get to that later.

I decided to take it really easy in the beginning stages in order not to provoke the car since it was filled to the top with fuel. It was extremely ass heavy. There were two notable contacts I was involved in and survived. One on the first lap at T10, he BMW driver went off and back on. He did not come into my frame of view until it was too late and we made contact unfortunately. The second was at T6. I lost control a bit going into T6 and while I tried to gather it up, a red car slammed me hard in the back. That did not help my fuel laden car and I thought I was done but the Mclaren held together and I pressed on. From that point on I pushed as hard as needed to complete my stint and not lose sight of Juan. Juan had been quick through practice and I knew with my slow setup I did not have anything for him. He soon caught me in T1 I think and made a solid inside pass. I tried to swing to the outside at the quick left hander but he had the position and the speed and blew by me.

This brings me the tire wear indicator in the mod. After running about 2/3 of my long stint the car developed a serious push going into corners. However, the tire indicators did not show any wear on of the tires. The push went away when I changed tires.
Are the tire wear indicators broken in the mod?

In any case, with less fuel and new rubber, I was able to keep pace with Juan but he was too far ahead.

All in all it was a good race. I did not think I would be able to finish a full length race but time flies when you are having fun :)

Cya on the track!

I dont know about the tire indicator Grumble, what i do is practice 1-2-3 stop strategy and compare lap times, watch tire temperature and see the feeling of car handling at end of stint. From what i feel about the car, i make my decision about pit strategy after my qualif, depend on what is my position.

Maybe you should ask limpy about the indicator.

Well the tire ware indecator seems close to acurate IMHO

The first ? I would ask is what tires you where useing ?

Another thing I would say and from what I read in your post is that you went on a long first stint. So that made the care heavy at the back end this will cause understeer. Take note that when you pitted the secound time with less fuel the understeer was gone.

But it has been my experience that the
Extra soft tires are only good for 4 or 5 laps top pushing them hard.
Soft tires are good for 15 to 20 laps then they start to fall away.
Mediums are very good for long stints but they take a while to heat up and stick so you lose time and risk hitting a wall the first few laps.

But as Flow said
All of this is trial and error and
Practice Practice and practice.
