Thanks, but just to make shure its clear to all, this is not our NAR06 season official track pack. Get it, try it, no problem.

The calendar and the evaluation of available track are under discussion. Its not easy to consider Euro and NA holliday calendar and ensure we have a good working track for rfactor.

We must be shure we start the season with working track and with trying to follow the real F1 calendar, if possible.

But try those track and report any problem, so it will be more easy release the official calendar and final track pack, unless its decide differently.

sure offcourse, like topic sais, editeble. we need good input on all the tracks we have for coming season so we have time to change the files before have the race there. i am waiting on a few tracks for private nar use steveB did, and i think i miss 5 of the real f1 calendar that has no base<i know of yet>.

so lets use this topic to get us the best racetracks way before the actual race is.

thx all who will help, this tracks really need attention imho :)

Klaaz (or anyone), have you tried racing at most of those tracks that did not come from SteveB? Do timing, start lights, grid and pits all work correctly (or at least look like they do)?

Like already said by Bilbo, the problem for going public is the fact that we dont have the aautorisation to publish few track. So it little difficult to do that. Unless we do a track pack only for NAR use. But then, public people wont access our server, cause they dont have it :?

Klaaz post is to let us try those track and see if anything wrong happend. He did not said they were «bullet proof»...

An official NAR track pack is definitely on the way, at least for the first tracks of the season, likely this weekend or very early next week.

Wether it will be for public or private consumption is still undecided.

I asked the question in the above post to see if the tracks mentioned were to be considered as race-worthy and candidates for inclusion in an official track pack. I tried to give hints about things to look for as sometimes a track looks fine in practice but is not really usable in race (timing problems, etc.). Since I will most likely not have the time to exhaustively try each track myself as I would have liked, I'm calling on the experience of others...

F.Y.I., if all the non-SteveB tracks are race-worthy, only 2 tracks could be problematic (Turkey and China, SteveB having already started Monaco but needing more work) and they are nearer the end of season...

Be advised that Limpy's download link above is the same one Klaaz posted a few days ago and pointing to the 4 GTR track conversions... (Just so nobody wastes 125MB of perfectly good bandwidth if they have it already!)

Well I have every track that has been put out so far and tested the f1 tracks. There are definitely some problems with some of the conversions but they could easily be fixed. The first 3 tracks will be enough for a month and a half of races.Plenty of time to work on the others. If I knew what the hell I was doing I would spend time doing it myself but I am just a hardware junky..LOL>...was never good at the 3d modelling like limpy and steveb...In total I have 65 tracks so far and they all work...Some parts like pits and lights do not unfortunately. If some of the tracks are too high rez then low end machines will suffer and that will cause online problems.I agree that noone can join if we make the tracks privately.Without authorization from the publishers we could be pissing people off. There in lies our dilema.Decisions decisions...We should all give our opinions on this.
carrera 8) 8) 8)

sweet , that narrows it down to 1 :).
Maybe we get some more help from fia, as lots of races seem to have dissappear

http://www.formula1.com/race/

I made new test trackpacks, and have put them in the top post
bahrain is simster.com version so dont worrie about steveB s feelings, and also imola is an old one, steve has better one in private pack soon. silverstone 1.1 is merged into the old 2002 folder so we can test both<maybe new skins limp made help on the low fps some had>.
Ingo and myself really like the 1.1 version ,the other 5 had nothing but comment lool.
