How the driving feel Steve? The demo seemed promising compared to GTR.

well, the really fast cars like the Cobra, Pantera, GT40, are beasts, lol, lots of power, and no downforce. But they are fun to drive, sounds are fantastic. One thing to remember though, this game will tax your system, i get much less FPS than in rFactor, whish is odd, because GTL uses the GMotor2 engine developed by ISI. I run everything on full in rFactor, but in GTL, i have to turn things down to high to get decent FPS. although, i really can't tell much difference in the quality, so it's not a big deal. I am still waiting for my online "code" to do regular multiplayer, so i'll let you all know how the net code is as soon as i get it.

I'd bet on higher polygon count due to more "curvy" car bodies (or just no will to compromise on car looks). Possibly higher resolution textures too. Or they may have activated a setting similar to what was known in F1Challenge as "Super-high physics" which could take more CPU cycles to give better physics. Except for asking the developers/artists, we might never know...
BTW, I got my online code the very next day that I emailed them...

Well, im not a pro, but from what ive seen, the main part of the car dont seem to have that many polygon. But, i think, i presume (il ask around) the problem could come from the tire. we drive open wheel game, and we see those tire all the time, compare to other close wheel mod. Those tire, from what i seen, have more polygon that the whole car for itself. I might be wrong on what im saying, but could be logic. Il make some research on it.

Uhhh Flow, GTL (a.k.a. GT Legends) is mostly (possibly all) about closed-wheel cars...

It's a totally different game but using (almost) the same simulation engine as rFactor, just like GTR uses (almost) the same engine as F1Challenge...

I am quite surprised to hear that it taxes the system more than rfactor.
I have enough problems setting up the car in rfactor these days so it takes priority for now.GTL may be on the horizon but I don't want to stop practising in rfactor as I work night and day and don't have alot of extra time on my hands. It would however be nice to race some of the older cars though. If the netcode was better than GTR.I'll wait and see what you guys say in the future.
