Comments about tonights Server/mood test....post problems, things that worked good, ideas etc here.
Me and Samy are on low end computers (1733Mhz, GeForce4 Ti4400) and we hada lot of "wheel lag" in the starts, it works ok up to around 8-9 drivers, after that its really bad. Im gonna try to set graphics even lower and hope for the best.

My comments about the Euro test:
No problems here (Athlon64 X2 4400+/7800GT).
Saw some people not starting on the grid in the 1st test race but they really did not start, it was not due to lag... The races after that were OK. I did not see major lag symptoms.
Most pings were 150-200 to me, which I think is quite good due to being overseas. The other NA guys were pinging around 175-225 from me, which is still good in the circumstances.

I had the same wheell lag problem, none with other driver, but alot on wheel reaction. That must be cause by my computer, i have also a P4 1.6 computer with only 512mg ram. Il try to lower grahic and buy new ram. Bilbo didnt had that problem, is at 15 minutes of my home, same connection, so i think that my computer is realy the problem. Il test and let you know.

Yo Flowmeister,
I think the lowend computer is the problem as well.Even setting the graphics down may help a bit but when full grid it acts up again.Memory will help a bit if you can get it.I was going to look at the replay but it got overwritten.Good racing and when Kaali turned his graphics down his ping went down as well by over 100 or more.Still went well off the start as I left my ping checker on to see what everyone was pushin.Looked great even in a tight group. The starts are a little dicy with no launch control but when racing settles down it is just fine..I would say that was a pretty succesful test.

NA server test comments:
11 drivers, no perceptible problems from me. But since I was the host, I should not be the first to see them...
I will have to practice my manual starts more. I was ok this afternoon but completely s#cked tonight...
Thanks to all who participated in the tests, both Euro and NA, members and non-members. It is really appreciated.

Flow, you really should change your video card before adding RAM. I hosted non-dedicated for 11 concurrent drivers for tonight's server test and got a peak memory usage near 500MB overall, including WinXP and background services...
Good test

Hello Guys,
Well I think the test went really well. I saw no lag any where. Even under very close racing 4 to 6 drivers.
I am really looking forward to seeing a full grid and see if it is posiable to race.
Had a great time to it is sure nice to be able to race and not be totaly frustrated over lag issues.

Yo Bilbo,
I know all about those starts m8.My first start was just fine.I managed to get on the inside line along side of hitman and came out ahead in the first corner. The next time we started a race i was doing fine and then at the top end of first gear my car veered left and I almost hit hitman.I corrected just in time. The last time we raced I just nailed it and when first gear topped out I spun like a woman driving on ice.I was laughing as it happened cuz I know you spun in the first race.Flow and I raced the last couple of laps very close.I realized that maybe a little less wing would have been good for me.Still it was fun though.Amazing how much of a draft you can get off these cars..Car was great on the curbs as well.I was quite impressed.I threw f1challenge in the garbage..LOL...so long shitty netcode...

As far of the euro test from my point of vieuw was quiet promising, only i did expect alot more racers showing up.
The maximum ive seen in was 13, and we didnt manage to do a racestart with more than 10 peeps. and even some of the NA fellows were so kind to show up<oversea is not a problem on dans server

>
so if there is gonna be another test i hope to see a full grid, eventhough i am confident all is gonna work wel serverwize,
maybe some will experience low fps at the start because their system cant handle too look over more than 6 cars at once.
Good thing to try is load a racesession in controle, put the grid full with ai and start from back and watch the fps during the first few corners.
if thats below 25 pretty much, u so in trouble........Try lower settings in game and/or using config.exe in rf folder, or do like my and tweak youre bios settings

<make sure u dont blow it
