^^ you forget that you talk about the queen of game darling
credits I have: 16362
credits I need: 32663
on monday I am under 30000 ... and I did not invest the 2500 credits to drive offline lol
propably could get more points there but I am MEO and I drive online!!!
did a rar like suggested from ISI from the files before I did the update to 1.048 and then from this files so I can switch like I want just install.
most guys actually drive in 1.040 because it is NO BETA!
for the guys that want to register at the racecast you should realy install 0.9.9.3 from the racecast to get your hotlaps count (even I still hope that ISI one day will do a fix and ALL THE BABY's CAN START AT 0 AGAIN ... NO MATTER WHAT THEY HAVE DONE !!!) these bugger join and say it are shit cars are not able to drive them but think they are something better lol
I tell you with everyone of them that joins I get more will to GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so far about the I hope you will get it till season starts
but I can not say how happy I am when someone of my darlings and very dear friends of mine join to do some laps with me

I miss racing with you dudes so much ... kisses to all ... and get rdy to get ya ass kicked

... jk
... have fun!

O will buy rfactor game before next weekend.

I have to make some decisions before I buy rFactor because I only got parts of my new PC as some parts were on back-order. So I'm still missing my memory (running on 512MB of 'lent' memory ATM instead of 2GB of low-latency OCZ memory), hard disks (running on 2x30 GB old PATA disks instead of 2x250GB SATA300/NCQ drives) and only one video card instead of two (Leadtek WinFast Extreme 7800GT)

. But, fortunately, all the parts I DO have are really great!
Anybody know EXACTLY what rFactor checks or "hooks to" for its licence?
... Or I could just give in, buy it now and pray I don't need more than 3 re-installs or that they would send me more reasonably quickly if needed...

you should get a code when you install it , via email, so if you have to reinstall it, you can just paste the activation code in, and wha la !! no problemo !!
when you reinstall, it will give you the option " i've already paid" or something like that, you click that, and it asks for the activation code, paste it in, and you're set
EDIT: here's a thread talking about reinstalling rFactor

Thanks Steve, I had already looked at that thread in the past days. My problem is not the reinstallation of the game itself, it's more that my hardware is gonna change (again) in the next few weeks as I received the final parts of my new PC. rFactor's activation is "bound" to your hardware, much like the Windows XP OEM licence activation, although the specs of rFactor's binding are not explained anywhere. Some people have changed motherboards and video cards without having to reactivate while other people have just added an USB modem and had to reactivate. That's the kind of info I'd like to have. If the game is strictly bound to the network card only, then I can buy it right now as THAT part of my PC is not gonna change anytime soon (hopefully). If it is bound to the boot drive's signature (for example), then THAT is no good to me as it's gonna change at least once or twice in the next weeks (as I will be changing hard disks). THAT is pretty much my only worry about rFactor at this time...

Thanks Flow, I might just do that. Or maybe I'll just buy it now and THEN write them to beg for renewal (if/when needed)!

C:\document and settings\All Users\user data\Trymedia
I do every day a backup of this folder because it gets changed after I was on track ... when you install the game just put these files there again and everything is working find (same I do with my player folder)
my system:
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2500+ @ 1,80 GHz
SRAM: 1024 MB
OS: Windows XP Service Pack 2 Build 2600
GPU: MSI NX 6600GT (NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT)
working good so far!
... have fun!

i HAVE THE GAME!!!. Wow impressive, i tried the FIS mod, with the real track. Thanks to Steve who help me out. Brazil is a amazing track, you can see city far away, better than F1C one.
I woud give a 8 on 10 up to now, il higher my score when il be more able to setup the control of my wheel better. I was driving like a drunk men, when i tried few things in setup of wheel, went better, but not completely at ease.
It will take alot of lap of practice. up to now after few lap i was able to be around +2 sec of Steve who drove more than me on rf. I did more than 13000 lap on F1c, now i only have less than 100 on rf, make your own conclusion, lol

i have alot to catch up.
But realy a game to have.

I still don't have the game and my new PC is now dead after having worked (very) fine for the past 2 days. It's not clear yet if it's the power supply or the motherboard that is broken. I just did a normal shutdown and the computer did not want to restart an hour later. No fans turning, no LEDs anywhere (not even the "standby power" one), no nothing. I'll be investigating further tomorrow with my vendor...
Other than that, while it was working, that new PC was kicking major @ss! I was playing Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory very smoothly at MAX details (shader v3.0/16AF/high def shadows, etc.) at 1280x1024 while I had stopped playing it at 800x600 with MIN details on my old PC (which is still my current PC at the moment, unfortunately)...

To bad Bilbo. Hope youl solve problem soon and wont cost you your an arm.
About rfactor, i realy suggest to people not to wait until last minute to test it. You realy need practice and alot of ajustment to the game setup and drving whell setup...
Limpy, your making a real good work. Limpy's car are realy nice, thats takes alot of hours of work, i know what you mean, i wish i could help you out, but too busy working at my job. Its going to be a nice mod.
