And the price differential makes Extreme really not worth it compared to the speed gain (or lack of)... :(

On "standard" HS (5.1/800), I reliably get about 4700/750 on those tests, mostly any day, any time.

BTW, Videotron have their own speed test if you prefer:
http://testvitesse.videotron.ca/

Keep in mind that this is pretty much the max speed you can expect since it's mostly using Videotron's own network, which is not representative of the speed you would get when connecting to a site outside Videotron's network (although we usually get pretty good connection speed almost everywhere).

Oh, BTW, Flow and me are talking about Videotron's cable connection (except for the reference to his friend) ...

I have exact same speed as both test.

With Videotron i pay 47.90 + taxes (CAN) mothly for high speed conneciton.
That make 40.88$ in US

I have a DSL 3Meg connection, with the following speed test I get 2906 down and 478 up. I just upgraded to a 5Meg but have to wait till they come out and do something or another to the line but should be upgraded sometime this week. Check this test out its setup like a tachometer...Kinda neat. http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

Hehe, I'm getting 4427/748 on that Speakeasy test, using the LA server which is probably the farthest one from here (Montreal, Quebec) geographically! I think that's reasonable speed...

Hi all,
My connection is 1254 kbps download, 257 kbps upload and i pay 36 € a month :( ,
but the provider is upgrading the line up to 4800 kbps download for free(but with the same upload speed however) .
They said the upgrading will be concluded to all users by the end of september but i still see no changes.
There is no way to have a better upload speed unless you have a business line or your city is reached by optic fibre (of course my city is not :( ).
That's Itlaly m8 lol.

See you,

Drago 8)
