rfactor vs GTR

Post by carrera »

Well, after playing online this morning.I get the message every once in a while"internet matchmaking temporarily unavailable".Starting to wonder if this game was a mistake also dammit.Still it deserves a chance.Hope they get it fixed soon though. The f3 series is quite fun..wheeeeee...LOL
even with the new "plugin"from racecast...still same thing.another lobby in limbo?

Hello
Well one diffrence is If I am right I have not tested this yet I read it at RSC.
With GTR if the host servers are down we are F...Ked
But with RF even if racecast is down we can still get in find our servers thru IP address where with GTR's security if there down so are we.

Of course GTR also had this problem with not having enough servers for the people and upgraded so I am sure that RF will do the same.

One thing is for sure, when the servers are working, rFactors net code is WAY WAY WAY better than GTR, hehe, i've done several races with 15-20 drivers, and have had no real problems at all
I may be slow, but at least I'm consistantly slow !

Everything was just fine this afternoon and I raced with 16 people and had a blast. One thing for sure .The netcode is ten times better.Yes the gameplay is more like rh2004,But I still crashed on the second lap in chimps house..LOL...guess it punishes you for any mistakes just like f1c.
I jumped into a room with 24 people and ran fine with no glitches. How often can you say that?.If there is one thing I like about it more than anything. Its the graphics.Exceptional quality when cranked to the max.
I'll keep watch on the server list and see if it screws up anymore. If so we could just do the I.P.direct.Either way.The netcode makes this game promising. So far so good.
