I just want to say that I am quite impressed with the quality of people here I have had a hard time finding a copy of F1c and have had an incredable amount of support from you all most noteably Steve B.
Steve B has been an incredable help to me and I have really gotten to know him over the six hours we spent transfering F1c files.
Thanks again steve!
Another person that has been very helpful is the other steve,he has offerd to send me a copy of F1c in the mail and I am quite impressed with
the outpouring of support. Can't wait to race guys! Thanks again

It was my pleasure John, I guess the tranfer of files didn't work the way I thought it would.
I am very sorry and pretty upset that we couldn't get it done.
Help is ALWAYS a post away here at NAR.

I was going to suggest something a little different.
Since f1c is actually a drag and drop folder. Why not install all the addins including the newere ones for rh2004 (1.05)then burn it too dvd and send it too him.He wouldn't need a million files then>the total is about 4.15 gygabytes and can be drag and dropped into c:\program files\easports\.
ANy problems with the game after and he could just wipe it out and drag it off the disc again.WOuld sure make it easier for him than trying to install everything(and there is a lot of installs).
just a thought.I actually reinstalled it today and with everything it is about 4.15 or just less.

Steve, if I remember correctly, the original F1C CD was protected with SafeDisc or something like that, which could very much explain why you get read errors but can still install it fine...

I've burned it before Bilbo, and it worked fine, except you had to install the no cd .exe, i'm getting the error message WHILE trying to burn it m8

You can still see the old F12002 records at the old
FindTheLimit, although you better not despair if you're far from the best because the best are really way much better than the average driver. As long as you're improving your times, you're on the right track. And being the fastest is not all, it's much more important to be able to finish your races too, so it's not just about making a single fast lap, it's being in total control of the car for about 90 minutes. We have a pretty wide range of drivers in NAR but what we look for in drivers is not pure performance, it's safety and fairness. A slow and safe driver could become a fast and safe driver with more practice/knowledge but a cheater is unlikely to ever become a fair driver...
